  • @arabianmetalhead99 i could say the exact same thing about metal haha

  • @txteabagger Yup, thrash, new wave of britsh heavy metal, crossover, new wave of thrash, old school death metal, old school black metal. True metal.

  • Bobby has parted ways with Sodom, seiously a genuine character and very funny, let`s see how the new drummer will do......

  • that is one kick ass band right there! one of my favorite thrash bands!

  • LMAO. This video is fucking hilarious if you turn on the subtitles.

  • germans kick ass

  • 0:54

    Thabthabthab

  • wtf??? they shouldve put more time

Sodom desveres more theyve influnced alot of bands

  • When he said dedededede he was talking about blast drumming..dont like it very much but it CAN be good sounding if used in the right place..

  • @gh2player Nope, he was talking about the good ol 1-2-1-2 thrash drumming. Bass, snare, bass, snare etc... in 8th notes. In my band we used to call it either the monkey, or boom-chuk and we used it a lot, haha.

  • I havent seen this yet but it seems like they only talked about the US Thrash bands...Fuck this, German, Canadian, And Australian Thrash was just as part as the bands in the US.

  • @disturbedspike no, they also talk about foreign scenes like the german thrash scene, about swiss bands, sepultura and even australian and canadian thrash bands.

  • @disturbedspike I know that they talk about other lesser-known thrash bands in the bonus featurs of the DVD.

  • A WHOLE SEGMENT on Sodom would be better but i dont think the Get Thrashed film gave them enough attention =/

  • lol "de-de-de-de-de-de-de" awesome english haha

  • english clearly isn't his native language but - well spoken

  • @bce5150 no shit, theyre german

  • @guitarplayerk11 dude are you serious...

  • @bce5150 well you obviously were if you made such a stupid ass comment like that one

  • @guitarplayerk11 *sigh* i was actually respecting them for articulating something so precisely even though they're multilingual

  • there is no best thrash band.

  • evil dead,toxic holocaust,slayer,metallica,testament,exodus,sodom, possessed. some good 1ns METALLICA!

  • Kreator, Sodom, Destruction of course.

The awesome three german Thrash Bands.

  • @revilo111 Paradox is awesome, too.

  • its not really dead, it evolved like everything else in metal

  • the revival of thrash can be done. it had a way of drawing me to it since i was 9. people should abandon this nu metal crap, its giving metal a bad name. the more people hear thrash the better.

  • violator is the best new thrash band. it sounds alot old school \m/

  • thrash never went away...people only think so cos other styles came and this guys right cos thrash metal is still my favourite music style ever

  • THRASH NEVER DIE!!! it is only fading but I hope One Fucking Day, the spirit of THRASH will come back!!!..

    THRASH TILL DEATH!!!

  • GERMAN THRASH!! \,,/

  • mi top 5 band

  • Bobby got it right, Thrash isn't dead.

  • sadly it took a little break but now bands like mantic ritual are bringing it back

  • It was still alive, none the less.

  • oh yes defiantly

  • saw them live while they were still Meltdown :D

    I have the album posted

  • hell yeah mantic ritual is the ONLY new thrash band i like, they are FUCKEN tight! ive seen them twice.

ive seen them play with exodus and destruction!:)

i cant stand other new thrash bands like fuel by fire..lol

  • Municipal Waste is Alright. Not that great though.

  • Go listen to Evile right now.

  • Yeah, thrash always comes back when its time to destroy "girly rock".

  • No it's time to Destry Rap,Hip Hop and Pop.Then pussy rock

  • @MetalHead4Life94 What about country? For me that really has to go!!!

  • True.that personaly dosn't bother me as mutch as the outhers.

  • this band inspired death and black metal alot

  • I'd have to say Sodom's In The Sign of Evil and Obsessed By Cruelty with Destruction's Infernal Overkill, Mad Butcher, etc., inspired more black metal while Kreator went more for death metal with Pleasure to Kill, although Endless Pain had ALOT of black metal elements.

  • i think you got it, if anything, backwards

  • It's not dead though.

  • What he said made a lot of sense.

  • my band is part of the nwotm and were trying to bring the old way back and destroy fucking metalcore emo/ screamo bandsas thrash destroyed glam 25 years ago

  • MEtalcore is the new Glam. It must be CRUSHED!!!

  • Metalcore IS glam, just look at the dudes from bring me the hairspray

  • And Blowjob For A Cowboy.

  • JFAG

  • @ContraBoi wrong post hardcore bands like escape the fate and BVB are Glam

  • Comment removed

  • what he says about thrashmetal is right, but to say that punkrock stopped evolving in 1981 is quite stupid i think.

  • we gotta stop all these modern shitty bands from destroying metal as it was meant to be

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!

    kill the sons of bitches!

  • @omgnomorebacon I agree, to an extent. "Hardcore" music has to go haha. no more bring me the horizon crap. New thrash bands (Municipal Waste, Lazarus A.D., Evile..) that stuff is pretty sick haha!

  • dont forget crypter!

  • @omgnomorebacon Check out Possessor Dude. here like he only good "New wave" or thrash! type in possessormetal in the search bar!!

  • @omgnomorebacon dude people like you are stupid, i like old and new and you have to live with it, i fuckin hate people that hate new bands

  • @omgnomorebacon Having bands that all sound the same would be boring as fuck. There is a reason why Old skool thrash metal bands are underground. Because they never bring anything new or original to the table.

Nothing wrong with liking old school but jeez some people should really open their closeminded heads abit...

  • R.I.P. Witchhunter. Best thrash metal drummer!

  • BLASPHEMER!

  • "I don't have to remember what thrash metal is, cause thrash metal is still alive"

    That's fuckin' true!

  • AGENT ORANGE!!!!!!!

  • FIRE DOESNT BURN!!!!

  • its not only um tam tam tam tam

  • Hail Sodom. Period.

  • nah hes just german

  • i don't have to remember what thrash metal is cause thrash metal is alive. SO FUCKING AWESOME

  • he is fucking riiight! even tho he has a problem explainin idgaf punks dead, every other type of music had a follow but died, but not metal, metal is immortal, deathrash til death!!

  • yeah he is right thrash metal is still alive too bad he is dead

  • Bobby isn't dead.

  • Chris is Dead

  • ...That wasn't Chris. Well, even if Chris is dead (RIP), we still have Atomic Steif.

  • THRASH METAL

  • wise man!

  • rip chris..

  • so this is where the voice for skwisgar skwigelf came from..

  • i like his english. LMFAO! but i don't blame him, he's pure german. keep old school thrash alive!

  • Bernermann looks pissed. Good words though Bobby.

  • i don't need to remember what thrash metal is,becuz THRASH IS STILL ALIVE!!!

  • SODOM IS THE BEST!Thrash metal isn`t fucking bullet for my vallentine or something....it's OLNY SODOM!^^

    thrash will never die

  • it kinda died once already

  • just bear in mind that all thrash metal bands worship black sabbath

  • THRASH METAL 4 LIFE!

  • its an honor to play thrash and its an honor to hear those dudes

"heavy must stay together, all others must die"

  • dude metal came from blues what do u think influence black sabbath

  • dude metal came from blues what do u think influence black sabbath

  • if the man come from the monkey, would you still have sex to an ape?

  • mabye...how sexy is this ape lol

  • ahahahahahahahah

well i think when baloff screamed that he meant the current sorts of crap we have latelly, not the pre metal, rock music anyway

  • rock came from blues, metal came from rock, bla bla bla

    so what?

anyway bs is boring and overrated. metal started to be real good when it got speed

  • Wrong it wasnt blues, it was jazz, listen to black sabbath wicked world.

  • actually black sabbath did play the blues, in the early years when iommy and ward were in mythology in the late 60's and so did butler and osbourne while playing together in they'r band (don't remember the name)try listen to warning (it's a cover song) its on the same album as wicked world, but yeah you are right they also played alot of jazz in the early days.

  • Were Sabbath even into Jazz?

I don't remember hearing anywhere that they were influenced by jazz...maybe the drummer but as far as I know Iommi and Geezer Butler

    were more towards the blues.

  • bill ward was mainly inspired by jazz musicians and so was tony. sabbath was a jazz/blues band in the early days and were inspired by bands like cream and stuff. but when that acident with tony happened their sound got more heavy, thank god

  • Hmmm well I guess we do learn something new everyday!

    Thanks for the info.

  • no problem. stay metal!

  • Always will man! Always will.

  • Their original name was Earth, if I'm correct.

  • yeah but bill and tony were in a band called mythology before they got together with ozzy and geezer and they had been playing in a band called rare breed before they got together with tony and bill

  • FUCK YEAH THRASH 'TILL DEATH!!!!

  • Awesome. Sodom rules.

  • he doesn't know english very well, definetly best german thrash metal band next to kreator

  • THRASH 'TILL DEATH!!!!

  • SODOMY AND LUST!!!!!!!!

  • He was struggling a bit right there.

This clip was not in the 'Get Thrashed' movie..

I hope for that DVD to come out SOON with all the behind the footage and unreleased clips that didn't fit in the film.

  • the guy on the right is about to laugh his ass off

  • ey men this guy is Tom Angelripper bass player & singer of sodom ;)

  • THRASH METAL!!!! SODOM!!!!!

  • Yeah but hes really got nothing to say.

  • Ahh... scheisse! I respect these guys a lot! I remember my cousing in Dublin, playing that one album, when I was small! Of course I couldn't know which one it was.

  • Yeah ! Thrash-Metal rules !!! Look my old German Band FRATZEHAMMER ! ):->)

  • Their English isn't that great, but Tom Angelripper put some excellent notes together for their DVD package, the first of more mentioned to come. I feel they have a very good point here, but one genre can be limiting, which is why I prefer METAL in general, not genre

  • BOBBY FOREVER

  • SODOM fOREVER

  • sodom alemlerde tek \m/
