  • wow looks so real, how did u manage to get the reflections of the picture onto the 3d text?

  • If you only know how real it looks

  • It looks real. Literally.

  • tutorial?

  • Render Time?

  • wow, thats really good

  • boujou is the MOST relaxing intro, I im right?

  • too dam relaistic

  • It's the same with me the text keeps going all over the place but it's fine in boujou

  • in boujou my motion track is perfect but when i open up the export in cinema 4d the text start moving around and it looks crap. can i fix this?

    i'm using Cinema 4d R11.5 and Boujou 5.0

  • @julianmennes Did you try the Start Index trick from the video description?

  • @hobobastard yes i set the parameters Start Frame from 1 to 0. or do i need to change the step? i got my step on 1.

  • @julianmennes No no. When you do Export Camera. Leave everything else as it was. Untick the box that says 'Use format default'. And change the Start Index from 1 to 0.

  • @hobobastard this is maybe a bit stupid but can you make an picture of the good export settings, i wanna make sure :) but thank you very much, there are not alot people who respons to people.

  • @julianmennes I had the same problem for ages, when you set the background in cinema 4d, don't use the movie file, use the JPEG sequence.

  • @MrAdampeirce oh really, ok i will try it right now :D

  • Comment removed

  • @julianmennes make sure the frame rate is the same as the clip i had the same problem first :)

  • TOO REALISTIC!!!!

  • amazing!

  • tutorial pls! :OO

  • when i load the background into cinema 4d it says do u want to create a search path and then i click yes or no and it comes up with a regular material

  • @KingOfOCE Just click no to the search path. It will look like a regular material. Just load the .mov video under the Colour channel. Turn off everything else. Put in a background and add the material.

  • Also make a tutorial

  • His was done in boujou and c4d coz if you look at the shadow of the apple and compare it to the text it's not the same

  • mine always gets the text moving cuz of boujou, tryed putting frame start at 0 but i think it doesnt help much, any other solutions?

  • that looks realy real

  • If I filmed a clip of something, if I sent it to you would you be able to motion track it for me please. Just a 8 second clip or something of my channels group and then you motion track 'WingWeeMovies' or something. This is one of the best I have seen so far, great job. Thats why I came to you. Would you or?...

  • check my motiontracking video as well and give a comment please

  • Did you use a second shot for the reflection?

  • ITS ALL A LIE!

  • Fake.. everyone knows that garbage cans go at the FRONT of the house

  • Yo dude.

I have a question please reply:

Woudn't it be just possible to motion track this in After Effects? Because doesn't look like you use much 3d anyway.

    Please respond

  • @VRAssociation With this example? no. AE doesn't really do 3D environment tracking or 3D text (maybe CS5.5 does). In order to place 3D text in a video with a camera panning around the XYZ axis you need to rebuild the 3D environment in a 3D motion tracking software - like Boujou. It works out your camera trajectory/path and you export that data to a camera in C4D.

But, with that said, Greyscalegorilla has a tutorial how to do it with just holding the camera straight.

  • @hobobastard

Thanks. Do you know a good free software for 3d tracking? Does Mocha do good 3d tracking?

    Thanks

    VR

  • @VRAssociation Mocha is a 2.5D tracker, not a 3D tracker. The only free matchmoving program I know of is Voodoo. However because it's free, the results are questionable.

  • @VRAssociation You can do everything in this video and much more all in After Effects with the Camera Tracking plug in by NukeX, it's the industry standard for motion picture and efx.

  • Please upload the original video on another site!:)

  • Please upload the original video on another site!:)

  • anyone know what they call it when they put cgi in a real backround (like a character) in a movie?

  • @abdu8008 CG Compositing?

  • @ParchmentTwiser yeah, thats right, thanks

  • your start index to 0 fix just ended 2 days of misery for me ... thank you very much!

  • Can you make me one plzzzzzz

  • OMG, i watched this 5 times and i can't believe that this is fake... I looks really nice!! Good job :D

  • That looks pretty damn good!

  • looks like you got those letters made out of plastic and just put them there..

  • @lifeartpixels I had the same thought. And honestly I think someone could have tried to fool us here. If these letters are really Cinema 4D and motion tracking work it is the best I have ever seen. The reflections realistically show the area to the right. This would at least require other video shots and some more 3D work to get table and environment reflection right. It just looks a little too perfect. Congratulations, if these letters should really be virtual.

  • Just saw the other video with other letters. So this really is 3D work. Great job!!!

  • @tommyt100 lolol There's no trickery or fancy magic happening here. I had the 'blank' video on Megaupload for download (check the video responses for other peoples attempts on the exact same shot) 1 video - tracked in Boujou - exported to C4D. Added letters - light - put the video on the floor layer. Maybe it was just a fluke the reflections worked so well (as the table is very central through out the shot).

But thank you for the ego boost.

  • please tutorial !!

  • is the apple real?

  • @3Dsmaxcb Both the sticky pad and apple were real, they turned out to be pretty useless trackers though.

  • @hobobastard ah but you forget that the apple shows you the perfect direction of the light and the bias ^^

  • @3Dsmaxcb Nnnno!

  • B*tch plz. the wood reflect really realistic on the text? GTFO with this real sh*t.

  • MegaUpload link doesn't work, lol :P

  • @steynproductions Yeah sorry dude megaupload's been shut down by the 'Anti-fun police'. I'll try find the video and upload it here to youtube - then you guys can just rip it.

  • Wow man! Very realistic!

  • good job !

  • weirdest part is that i cant tell if its real or not -.-

  • wait. that's not actually on the table?!

  • hey, how do make the sides all shiny and reflective?

  • @hoppmandaniel1 Just used a quick simple reflective material in C4D. If you put reflection at 50% and fresnel at 20% it's usually a good starting point - tweak them as you see fit.

  • @hoppmandaniel1 Make sure you use global illumination in Cinema 4d :)

  • Great Result.... with 2 of our fave working tools.... !!!

  • it looks very real

  • how?

  • fake and gay

  • This is not animated?

  • @dalton644 yes it is

  • Haha Love it :)

  • That looks epic, gj! :O

  • Thanx for th Original video.. here th video i made.. v=2b7iioNW4gE

  • i think it real metal text

  • @MultiTurbomax cinema 4d

  • i can't to see something here. Just Normal video. Please show me the difference.

  • @MultiGemoglobin

check mine also then u'll knw

    v=2b7iioNW4gE

    :)

  • FUCK! this is amazing! :O

  • Wow, thank you! I've been having the same problem as you. Apparently the glitch happens with Boujou 5 as well.

  • Nice Garbage :D

  • TUT? :)

  • It really looks like a hobo put them there, its really good!

  • dude i dont have ever seen matchmove like this

    u r great...

  • dude you bought that its an actual real like sign that says hobo

  • How can i do that?do you have a tutorial?

  • woow shit lloks real

  • can you please share how you got the reflections in the text? i am trying to achieve the same kind material in maya but cant figure out how to. thank you

  • @constandy25 read the bottom in the top comments section.. if that makes any sense..

  • When I export it to cinema 4d, I don't see the trackers anymore?

    Can you help me?

  • @MagicChairProd Did you highlight the ones you wanted - right click and flag them for export? and when you export camera make sure to check the box that says something like 'export flags'. If you've done all that and it still doesn't work - then i ain't gonna be much help.

  • Can you make a tut on just boujour part?

  • fake

  • did you use an HDRI and if u did how did u make it?

  • @WTFtelevision666 Nah dude nothing fancy like that - simple 'blue sky texture' from Google applied to a Sky Object - Bob's your Uncle, keep it simple dude ;)

  • beautiful!!

  • with a shotgun

  • lokks to realistic tell the truth is it actually real

  • this looks so real

  • more realistic than the real life!!! :O

  • theres no 0:09

  • FAIL shadows are in the wrong direction xP

  • Let me guess, you tracked the apple, right? xD

    Looks awsome btw ^^

  • thats to real lol]

  • u got letters on your table

  • That looks too good, it seems like you actully put the individual letters down in real life

  • what camera you using mate :) i want one

  • Awesome tracking man. Boujou better than mocha?

  • Font?

  • Comment removed

  • Man This is so cool Can U Upload A Tutorial ?

  • FAKE!

  • @iBrZy haha funny guy

  • i wanna eat this.

  • HOLY SHIT...IT LOOKS SO REALISTIC!!

  • tutorial

  • cool

  • how did you get it to reflect the table in the letters?

  • @LegitRacoonCentral Just put the video material onto a floor layer and then turned off 'seen by camera' under the compositing tag, reflections stay in then that way. Think that's what i did anyway, i don't do graphics anymore lol

  • Can you make a tutorial base on this video ??? please !

  • FAKEFAKEFAKE. YOU PUT REAL LIFE LETTERS TO THE TABLE XD HAHAHAHA, IT LOOKS TOO REAL. :P

  • @N3wGam3RRR its not fake

  • @TakingAndChanging Yeah I know. It looks really real.

  • HOBOBASTARD

  • Hi, i use cinema 4d and boujou also, how do you have reflections and shadows?

Also holy CRAP THIS IS THE BEST MOST REALISTIC MATCHMOVE EVER!!

  • lol i cant tell if its actual letters u set on the table

  • lighting is perfect!

  • I tried to change the start index to 0 but my letters are still shaky :\

  • hi the link was dead :( can u upload the footage again ? thanks

  • @aftereffects00 Link works fine for me dude, just downloaded it, try again in couple minutes.

  • @hobobastard Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage What you can try: Diagnose Connection Problems More information

    tried for so many hours

  • Tanks a fucking lot, i watched alot of tuts about boujou but nothing helped me out, my objects kept moving but now with the start index on 0 it's fine :)

  • i really thought that are real fonts

  • Thats a good track! Thanks for the heads up on the first frame.

Ive been trying to get a decent solve but its not going easy, I even placed tracking markers.

I have a couple questions. Did you use a steady-cam setup or any tracking markers? And, how did you get your solve, did you track features and solve or did you use target trackers then solve? Not sure what to do with the target tracks after they've tracked. Thanks!

  • @Algae998 hey man, nah none of that, camera was all hand held walking round table, just a simple panasonic lumix nothing fancy. No markers, i did put the apple and sticky pad there but they didn't really help. In Boujou i literally just hit track and then solve, left everything on default, may have turned down the quality or wtv it's called to avoid tracking noise.Set table as the 'floor' when setting geometry, lines on table for xyz, test objects worked, flagged 2 or 3 markers for export to c4d.

  • @hobobastard Thanks for the response. Its funny, I too get a better track and solve by letting it use defaults. As soon as I place a couple good target tracks and adjust solve or resolve, all hell breaks loose haha.

Someday Ill be able to get a good solve for my entire footage, not just a chunk of it.

  • @hobobastard DUde can u just make a tutorial for this please

  • now thats how cinema 4d motion tarcking should be used...

  • The lighting, everything, its just so perfect...

  • Nice Apple :)

  • unless you actually spent hella time getting the shadows in its real TF?

  • its true noobs

  • I posted a response but it's not as good as you ^^ thanks for the cinematic though =]

  • SPOILER!!!! Thats a real object :P jk cool vid...make it dynamic like exploding or something

  • SOOOOOOO NICE!!!!!!!!

  • How do you make that?

  • way too brilliant

  • Did you buy Boujou?

  • HEY that advice worked great! I didn't know why my tracks where always shaky! thks a lot!

  • This looks to real :P

  • If this video was an apple... it would be one juicy apple

  • this looks so real

  • CAn you take the video that you have used for tracking ???

  • @MySubscribeme Sure thing dude, links in description, its only just gone up so if it doesn't work yet try again later. Enjoy.

  • Amazing

  • what tutorial did you use?<3

  • FAKE!!!! that looks too real

  • that has to be real...

  • @DizzyEffectz You think i'm Oprah rich? i wish i had the spare money to buy some shiny HOBO letters lol

  • @hobobastard LMAO XD

  • @hobobastard man you "bought" Cinema 4d ;)

  • @hobobastard you do have a 10,000 dollar program....

  • great job i love it

  • how did you get i to look so real message me the answer

  • Are you sure thats not fake, looks way to real

  • hey man, i did all that you said and i still can not get a perfect track inside cinema 4d. I have r12

  • @BlueBoxDubstep I used r12 as well, would offer to have a go for you but i don't really do graphics anymore. In Boujou, have you tried setting your floor to where you want your object to sit, not where the actual floor is?I set the floor in this example to be the table, used the lines on the table as Z and X depth, table leg for Y (i think).Only exported like 6 points - don't track too high a quality - you will end up tracking noise.Good quality stable footage.'StartIndex' tip in description.
