When I took Folk and Square Dancing in college (Way back in summer 1975) This piece was used as accompaniment for one of the couples' dances we learned. Gosh that class was fun.
@millyandbuttons Glad to hear some of the young out there appreciate his stuff LOL - I know jazz ensembles seem to be fairly prevalent in high school music programs so I'm betting you can find others if you look. :) From his solo career - my personal favorite album of his is Fandango from 1982, but I haven't found it yet on CD.
@millyandbuttons - Now that you're 16, the answer is "Maybe!" And..."Possibly, nowadays!" When I was 15, I listened to Herb, but, on a turntable. Before that, I listened to it on the A.M. radio in my Dad's 1966 Chevy II SuperSport! Keep it going, my friend - keep great-old music alive! :)
I'm dedicating this beautiful song to my special loved one--he really loved this song! Herb, you made my teenager take notice of your special music & for that, my hat is off to you! You & your band are very talented!
My brother got this album for his birthday. I wound up being the big Herb Alpert fan though because I was the only sibling out of 4 who actually stuck with the trumpet beyond the first few weeks of beginning band.
I love this song, Herb Alpert was introduced to me as a child. I'm grateful to my mother for having a variety of musical taste. I think this was one of his best albums, certainly my favorite. Jam on Herb!
A long time ago, I heard a story .....Herb Alpert had a child with a Mexican lady from Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Many years later I heard the story again many times...the child in question was OSCAR DE LA HOYA!!!!!!. Joel De La Hoya doesn't look anything like Oscar...which keeps wondering......
My Mom bought this album when I was about 10 in 1965 or 1966. It got played very often, we didn't have very many records in those days. But it is great music, and always reminds me of those times.
I first heard this song on a episode of supernatural, and I had to look it up. I'm a 80s baby but I still love old school stuff like this! thanks for the video
we had this album in the 60s, and one preteen (me), looked long enough and discovered where the white blanket and the whipped cream were - awesome music we played the heck out of - im now pavlovs dog- woof -love this music- it said chicks dig this music and dig you, too, for digging it
I have loved this song since I was 8 years old. Thank you so much for posting it. Brings back so many happy memories of Tuxedo Park NY in the summer visiting my grandparents. The happinest time of my life.
This song take me to a much simpler time in my childhood. I remember listening to this album looking at the world through cheap sunglasses with a mouth full of pop rocks. Thanks for the trip back!

Oh, for the mid 60's again, when all of the tv commercials had a "tijuana-esque" score, and Peter Max visuals. The soundtrack of an era.
