They were trying to play this off like they were ECW. The wrestlers could have done a lot more then they did, I doubt it was their choice. The commentating was awful.

Just because these guys bleed some and hit each other with weapons, it doesn't mean shit. That match had a gay little counter. How is this any different then Vince's bastardization of ECW with 'hardcore rules'?

I admit that TNA isn't as ultraviolent as Paul's ECW but They have 2 and a half out of the 3 things ECW did. They have the best wrestlers, great storylines(usually), and have almost half the amount of "hardcore/extreme" type wrestling as ECW...so they are slowly gettin up there with them...but there will never be another promotion like ECW of the 90s
