@VannaBrat266 It depends on the jewelry, but in most of them there's actually a "foot" to the stud that nestles underneath the skin, holding it in place. A lot of times the jewel can be unscrewed and changed out for a different jewel, spike, or even a ring designed specifically for dermal anchors. The post itself doesn't come out and go back in; if a person takes it out they have to have it repierced. It's generally not a light decision because this is usually an expensive piercing

So the pain wasnt to bad since it was so quick its more of a burning sensation... but they dont get that sore the next day... @Jordi1117 i just got mine done a few days ago, one on each side of my hips. it hurts worse then a belly button piercing but its not too bad. the actual punch doesnt hurt that bad, putting the anchor in is what hurts the most.
