Im just throwing it out there that the Viper is not stock, I remember this video from Viper Alley. This ACR is putting out over 690 horsepower. We recently had a few Vipers on the last exotic car run I went on, the Gen3 could not keep up with a 2003 Murcielago. After 100mph the Lambo leaped ahead with avengance. The GTS was also much slower than the VT Roadster I was rideing Shotgun in. As for reliability, my neighbor drives his LP 640 almost everyday with no real issues.

The Viper SRT-10 from 2008-up and ACR has 600hp, I'm not surprised though if it can do low 11s stock.

And because of the lambo awd system, if they both had the same hp, lambo would win because of traction.

Number One, the Chevy Monza, a 4.3 Engine out of a Chevy Syclone. Then a Indy-Car-Trans or something that will fit the 4.3 V6, because of being able to shift real fast. Third, reinforce the body to the fullest but while not over doing it as to weigh it down too much. Then a 3:73 Rear-End. Last-of-all, decent suspension and good tires and rims that don't weigh a lot.
If i had the money to do what I would like to do one the cars Fireo, Monza or Pinto, I would be pretty hard to beat. I know pretty much I would do first, right away. And other people that have any of the three cars that I'm talking about know what these cars are capeable of. They are light-weight and small. I've seen a lot of kool stuff done to a Fiero.

Of course you have to try to logic your way out of the embarrassingly high price of the Lamborghini if you want to favor it, but your arguments don't really stick. If they were priced more reasonably I would have considered getting one, I always liked the design (though don't care for Gallardos), but price and upkeep are too high, and they are in fact slower, so I went with the Viper which looks/sounds great.

Viper uses low end quality materials to keep the price low.

Auto-motive journalists always treat Italia Exotica differently to other cars because they are in a class of their own. The Lambo is the better car, much more special.
I drive my 2010 ACR everyday. It gets over 20 mpg on hiway. AND they RUN 10's STOCK!! Its in the launch, its the toughest part, but its a drivers car..not a "poser car". Any driver can run mid to low 11's in the ACR. Short shift on cold/gray colored pavement - roll into the throttle on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts or you will have your hands full cuz it'll shake the tires and come around on you. Killer stereo and cold a/c..plus oil changes are your only maintenance...thats it.
@Viper3048 A Viper ACR is already much faster than a Veryon, except in a perfectly straight line on a VERRRRRRY long road. Just check the lap times at the Nuburgring. The Viper blows the Veyron away. It also beat the Enzo. That's without any modifications to the engine.

Wow I am actually quite amazed at what a great time that ACR Viper did!! People should remember that this is made to be a streetable track car and not a drag racer so all of its suspension is setup EXTREMELY stiff. This makes launching it very difficult to do so seeing it pull an 11.1 @129mph is extraordinary!

my dad has a black viper acr voodo. first to second gear shift at full throttle is crazy, if it wasnt for the sticky tires youd be screwed. and to the person that said get a lambo lp670, that car runs a 10.8 vs the viper in this video which did a 11.1. the lp670 is also like 3 or 4 times the price. for a 100 grand the viper acr is a killer car and a steal at that price. ps vipers have NO tracion control and can beat GTR's to 60 MPH

But then again, they were putting Chevy-Motors in their cars since the 1980, which was a big mistake, Pontiac-Engines were better. GM took the cheapest motor to build, the Chevy line.

@Viper3048 I think your dead wrong. The viper is my all time fav car. But I would take a LP560 over one any day. Perhaps you dont realize alot of things when it comes to making cars. Something like a lamborghini is expensive to make, especially when most customers all want theirs a certain way, something you cant do with the viper, except with exterior colors.
Cost goes up fast, we arent even talking just materials, but also the cost of labor etc.

@xiilazyalex I'm not rich, and I own a Viper. Also, Vipers do not cost over $100,000. Of course you have to try to logic your way out of the embarrassingly high price of the Lamborghini if you want to favor it, but your arguments don't really stick. If they were priced more reasonably I would have considered getting one, I always liked the design (though don't care for Gallardos), but price and upkeep are too high, and they are in fact slower, so I went with the Viper which looks/sounds great.

@kalbahamut Alright Tim, I was talking about the ACR Viper, which is indeed $100k. ACR and regular SRT-10 are completely different cars. I've driven both. SRT-10 kept slipping but the ACR was firmer. Both sound weird to me and to others too. You obviously weren't reading what I wrote... I explained that the Gallardo is more expensive because of the material it uses. Viper uses low end quality materials to keep the price low.

I drive my 2010 ACR everyday. It gets over 20 mpg on hiway. AND they RUN 10's STOCK!! Its in the launch, its the toughest part, but its a drivers car..not a "poser car". Any driver can run mid to low 11's in the ACR. Short shift on cold/gray colored pavement - roll into the throttle on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts or you will have your hands full cuz it'll shake the tires and come around on you. Killer stereo and cold a/c..plus oil changes are your only maintenance...thats it.

LOVE the Viper, I always have!!! It's ashame they have to slightly neuter the next gen version with all the government issue safety tech (or at least that's what I heard). Hopefully Dodge (Chrysler) will be smart and leave a little button in the cockpit that let's you turn all the "ABS/TRAC Control/CPU stabilizer" crap off, and still unleash the beast that is the Viper... Wow I am actually quite amazed at what a great time that ACR Viper did!! People should remember that this is made to be a streetable track car and not a drag racer so all of its suspension is setup EXTREMELY stiff. This makes launching it very difficult to do so seeing it pull an 11.1 @129mph is extraordinary!

@themanthedog Vipers are not meant for drag racing either...so what is your point. If the Lambo isnt quick in the 1/4 mile and the Viper also beats it on the road coarse then what good is the Lambo?

@SkylarkGSX Lol yup, I really wouldn't doubt that maybe the companies are all in on it too. An under the table scheme to get more sales for each other. In a world where safety is overpriced and debt engulfs everyone, how can you expect anything less?

Haha, I'm seeing that idiot ass little kid that loves "lambos" posting comments here too. Glad to see that he's getting his little feelings hurt. Probably spends most of his life on his PS3 or what ever and knows nothing else. Most likely also cries when his brother or some one else beats his precious "lambo" with some American muscle as well.

my dad has a black viper acr voodo. first to second gear shift at full throttle is crazy, if it wasnt for the sticky tires youd be screwed. and to the person that said get a lambo lp670, that car runs a 10.8 vs the viper in this video which did a 11.1. the lp670 is also like 3 or 4 times the price. for a 100 grand the viper acr is a killer car and a steal at that price. ps vipers have NO tracion control and can beat GTR's to 60 MPH
