  • I've had one for a couple of years and didn't know it had certain functions...lol.

    Thank you!

  • @ThePowerOfSTAXX ITS NOT AN SLR! Its a bridge!

  • Buying this. Now

  • @ThePowerOfSTAXX it does. Get rechargeable ones.

  • the only thing(s) I dont like about my S9100 is that I cannot do tethering, and no wifi/bluetooth. I do use eyefi that lets me modify that, but its limited storage on the card. So i have to take it out and empty it at points. I would also like to use wireless triggers. I havent figured out what to use for that either. I have had this since 07' and love it. I have made MUCH money using this. Weddings, events, portraits...etc. Might not be high end - but works like one.

  • hey could any1 help me with the fuji finepix s1900??? what r the disadvantages and advantages, would u reccomend it, can i do panoramic shots and motion blur and macro and time exposre shots>? (i dont know much about cameras thats y im asking so many questions) or should i save up abit more and get the canon 1000d? and in order to do various shots such a panoramic, macro, motion blur, time exposure.. do i need a diiferent lense for each?

  • how do you change the lens on the FUJI FINEPIX?

  • @StruanSkye He told you how on this model: You can't. That's why is lower-end and cheaper.

  • @StruanSkye you can ADD though....but on some that you add you lose the auto focus functions

  • Interesting clip, I was recently reading about something similar on thephotographyclinic (.) com

  • BTW, if that's your wife or girl friend you're one lucky guy. She's quite beautiful.

  • I have the pretty old model S6000fd and nevertheless I am really satisfied with the results. It's really amazing how powerful can camera with such a small sensor be. I am sure that 9100 is even better. Great buy for people who want the best results for a lot less money.

  • does the lens come with the camera or do you have to buy it seperate?

  • well its not slr so u dont have to buy extra long lens

  • i'm thinkin about buying one of these this christmas for myself lol

  • Just got one. Love it. This dude is a tool, thought.

  • im gona buy one, i think that the finepix s9600 is a greate camera.

  • Is there a reason why i can't find this camera in any stores? is it old or something?

  • i think this is quite old, newer model from fujifilm is out

  • Try Topchoice Digital. Also it's only called the s9100 in the US, everywhere else it's called the s9600. If you don't mind spending a couple hundred more you should get the s100fs.

  • I use this when photographing weddings. The only difference between this camera and a DSLR is that you can't change the lenses. If the camera has a lens of 28mm to 300mm, why in the world would you need to change lenses. A very good camera that's given me very professional results! Please if you disagree, let me know; I'm believing that I fooled them all by using this at a fraction of the price of a DSLR and much easier to use.

  • This is a very nice all-around camera. Focus speed is the only big disadvantage against a DSLR. I have taken a DSLR and this camera to sporting events, and you can shoot fast moving subjects with this only if you can anticipate where your subject is going to be in 1 second or 2 (So you can do racing or combat sports, but it's tough to do soccer or basketball) GREAT for movies. Even the Nikon D90 has issues this one as old as it is doesn't have.

  • I'm a professional photographer and this is a great camera. I've used the Finepix series for years. Its macro lens focuses closer than any camera on the market. I take closeups of flowers with it. You can get less than half an inch away and it will focus. I also do a lot of landscape photography with it. What he didn't mention was a dedicated CCD for each Red Green Blue color. Other cameras have 1 CCD that explodes out the RGB giving you less quality. The color range is amazing.

  • This camera is amazing for product shots too. I shoot furniture and home furnishings for a store and use the room lighting. I just set it to aperture priority, put it on a tripod and set the 2 second delay shutter to avoid all shake. The pictures come out incredibly well with perfect exposure and great color every time!

  • Sounds like you're getting excellent results. But, if you do have difficulty with the room lighting, read the section in the manual on how to set the white balance on the camera. It will then correct for the room lighting (which puts an orangy tint to things).

  • Macro and SUPERMACRO !!! ... God He Is God xD ... nice camera thought ... i am getting it at christmas.

  • This guy is a real salesman. He completely left out all the negative things about this camera (I own one) when compared to a DSLR (which I also own). A DSLR focuses much faster, Has much less noise and better IQ above iso 100, has a better eye level viewfinder, better manual controls and is generally better ergonomically.

  • this guy is crazy

  • he`s insane! xD

  • I MENT AMAZON NOT AMAZING

  • GUYS get it off amazing

but make sure you get a memory card i recommend a 2gb

and it doesnt come with a chargeable battery

but its a fantastic camera :)

  • this might be good backup camera for dslr..

  • People seriously need to realize and understand that Megapixels mean absulutely nothing if you have a bad lens. This camera has good lens and takes good pictures. But for example I have a Vivitar 6 Megapixels and the pic quality is same as $5 webcam. It's rubbish because it has rubbish lens. On the other hand I still have the first model (years old) Kodak PowerShot. That has maybe

1/2 Megapixel 640 resolution only but the pics are still great even today. Look for good lens, not Megapixels.

  • slow down dude.

  • i agree

  • audio is out of sync, guy talks crap!

  • what's wrong with your hair, logan?

  • logan, i have a question: have you never not loved a camera??

(tiger direct is unbelievably bias).....no reflection on this camera itself

  • yeh i do because ive waited over 2 weeks for my god-dam card.

  • I have got the s9600 and thats fantastic. The only problem is it hasent got no internal memory but dont let that put you off.

  • you call that a PROBLEM???

  • If you want quality pictures at anything faster than ISO 200 you will want to avoid this camera. Also you will have to learn manual modes to get anything from this camera. Look at the reviews you will see that noise at over 200 ISO and focusing especially in macro modes are a problem.

  • "Also you will have to learn manual modes to get anything from this camera"--i looked camera better..there is no much of manual mode. Lowest aperture is 11 and that is not enough...but except that you can say that this is an excellent camera...and about ISO, everybody knows that Fuji makes great pictures with higher ISO or ASA, to be precised...

  • This isn't a full out dslr so like most every other point-n-shoot based cameras, anything over iso400 won't be satisfactory. However, for all the features this camera offers...there's no other that can beat it. The price is unbeatable. I've had one for a year.

  • buying this today haha

  • the next objective....find money for this...

    i wanna have it!

  • I have that Digital Camera I use it for taking photos of Aircraft and I tell you it's very good.

  • why do they always have to get someone who is such a tool to do videos

  • This is a great camera. The host surprised me by knowing what he was talking about.

  • The audio sync is so irritating...Hope you can address this in future review videos. I own this model and agree with your review.

  • Gotta ask yourself, Why buy an SLR in the $800-900 region - this does it all without messing around with changing lenses!

  • One reason: Prime lens.

  • dSLRs have unmatched image quality due to high-quality optics (prime lenses, especially) and better sensors/onboard image processing. For 800-900 you could buy a dSLR body and a respectable prime lens.

  • I actually own this camera as a backup to my nikon D2Hs. The reason I chose this camera was due to focal range and image quality. You said that $800-900 could buy a dSLR body, this is right but it would be a budget dSLR with lots of features missing and then you have the expense of buying lenses on top. Check out Flickr (search for fuji s9100/s9600) to see how good the s9600 image quality actualy is... you'll be surprised!

  • I researched the 9100 for a couple weeks, and came within seconds of getting one on eBay. After much debate, I ended up ordering the s6000fd, one b/c it was $120 cheaper, and I also read at a lot of sites that the 6MP sensor was a better fit with the lens. I was concerned 9MP sensor might need too much NR, and for the price, I could give up the hot shoe, cable release port, and extra buttons on the body. My gf has a D70, so I can always pick that up in a pinch. Cheers!

  • Yeah, with Nikon, you could get a D80 and a good 1.8 50mm prime lens for that much. SLR's are great cameras, I have one myself. The D50.

  • lol ^^ good video

  • 3 words; lip sync correction :) cheese
