  • Oh man this takes me back. Warm summer nights in Merced CA listening to Freddy at the County Fair - that was the highlight of the fair, and as they say, those were the days! Thanks so much for your performance!

  • @LALizzie Hi and thanks for the pleasant comments. It was a part of Freddy's life performing for county fairs ~ as far as that goes, he was all over the parking lot! There was only one Freddy Fender and there will never, ever be another. RIP Balde! (His real name was Baldemar Huerta and he was called "Balde"). Thanks again, Johnny

  • You truly are great, thank you for contribution to society, by keeping this beautiful music alive. Thanks again.

  • @helenw4 Yes, we need to keep Freddy Fender in the forefront! Johnny

  • Luv you uncle kiki. U are an amazing performer and what a tribute to Freddy. You have to know he is looking down with a smile on his face!

  • @luvangeldolphins516 Hi Susie! Freddy is probably smiling down a many who are performing his music. Thanks for such a sweet comment. Unc.

  • Oh they say that absence makes the heart grow stronger ~ and that tears are only rain to make love grow . . . great song Crying Time ~ will look into it ~ got several others ahead of it. JP & TC p.s. Panchito sez he can record "Drinkin Time!"

  • Johnny, did you sing and post "Crying Time" on here. If you did I can't find it and would like to hear you sing it if you would please!

    Luv you.

    Your one and only~ EB/CP : )

  • So awesome!!! Just like Freddy! :)

  • @bushey26 The more you drink the better I sound! JP & TC

  • I simply loved it. Wish I could play my Q Chord as well and your voice, well, it speaks for itself. Fabulous!

What rhythm did you use and how many bars?

  • @sharebla Hi! For the drums/Bass accompaniment I used the "Blues Shuffle" button. Don't remember how many bars but turn on your Q and match it up to this YouTube recording. It's only a three chord country song so no problem. Upload it when you get her done! Yee hawwwwwww, thanks for dropping by. Johnny

  • Yeah, I was wondering why Panchito was in the mountains training on a snowmobile - he is practicing to come and get you and the big guy. He says tequila works better than fuel in the snowmobile engine and keeps asking me to send him more "fuel." What I'm saying is it could be a while before he gets there! Ha, ha . . . Johnny & TC

  • How was your holiday JP?

It is warming up here a little now and I am sure happy to be rid of the awful cold weather we had this past winter. I can't wait to get out with the big guy for some fishing and fresh air.

Have a good one JP and Panchito.

  • Andale 45! Yeah, Freddy was one of a kind and theres no more like that. It must have been a trip to see Freddy at the Whisky! The homes didn't like whiskey thou, but he really dug the bejesus out of tequila! Stay in the country! Johnny Pal

  • I think I need to name you Fredrico the way you do this song...I'm glad I got a chance to get back again as this song sets me back home and as you call it...the shitkicken good of days...

I use to have some songs Freddy recorded at the Whisky a go-go (muddy waters ect.)on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood but I think you do a better job on this song but the Late great Freddy is still the king...Soldier45th Inf

  • Well JP, I would be more then a little upset if someone hid my computer so I couldn't listen you to. Maybe sometimes people do things for our own good but Panchito is grown up enough make up his own mind. ( I think !!!)

    Aloha JP& TC

  • Hello Johnny and Panchito,

I just want you to know I am still listening to your songs every day.

Is Panchito staying out of trouble?

    EB/EB

  • Yes, he has been behaving himself recently. He's a little upset that somebody, however, hid his Patron tequila! You guys take care of yourselves! Johnny Pal & Panchito

  • Hey Paison...they've had me in and out chasing rainbows that uncle Sam wqnted to try.....

I laugh at your polishing belt buckles as maybe you don't know but we polish belt buckles every day....

I am glad to hear your good music again...you do wonders with this song...

And you are a good person.....

    Thanks Soldier45th Inf

  • Ha, ha, the kind of buckle polishing you do is a tad different from what I am talkin bout! That was one of Freddy's favorite expressions when he was singin in shit-kickin joints. He also loved tequila and was always in search of the best menudo in town. Good to hear from you - stay as safe as is possible. Johnny Pal

  • Yo homes, here are the lyrics:

Since I met you baby. My whole life has changed. Since I met you baby. My whole life has changed. And everybody tells me. That I am not the same.

Yo no necesito - a nadie más que a ti.

yo no necesito - a nadie más que a ti.

porque tú eres mi cielo - porque eres para mí.

I don't need nobody. To tell my troubles to

I don't need nobody. To tell my troubles to. 'Cause since I met you baby. All I need you is you. Ayyyy te watcho!!!!

    thanks Paison! Soldier 45th Infantry

  • Yo Soldier45Inf, Freddy would have appreciated you liking his version of this bar room great. He would especially like you learning spanish. The spanish lyrics basically translate to: "You know that I love you darling. And you know that I suffer for your love. But your life is in the bar rooms and I am dying from the pain." Ayyy te watcho! (slang for I'll be checkin you out." Showtime

    thankseversomuch,,

    tell ponchito hello

  • Dear Soldier45Inf: Panchito sez, "Hola paisan!." I entered the spanish lyrics in the video. Play it and they will come up when that part of the song begins. As to the english lyrics you should be able to copy them down or search for the lyrics on Google. Thanks for your favorable comments! Johnny Pal/MangoDaville

  • Ha ha ha! Tell Ponchito that for now I will take your advice and stick with the FRUT juice. But maybe a little Vino will help too.

    Aloha, EB/CP

  • Happy Thanksgiving to you Johnny Pal and Panchito.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you both.
