  • its kinda funny... i was playing a round a couple weeks back and lets just say i was hitting the ball as if i never played before. i decided to shorten my swing up and not swing so hard. and it worked. this goes to show that you dont have to swing for the fences. the only thing about that video you mentioned was the fact that the baseball player and pga pro was saying to pump your arms up a bit then swing. but i like your idea better.

  • Thanks Dennis. I sort of stumbled on my own version of this the other day. My back was really bothering me during the front 9. On the back 9, I decided to really shorten up my back swing and follow through (in the hopes of avoiding throwing out my back). I couldn't believe that I was hitting the ball just as far, and a lot straighter, even with my 3 and 5 wood off the fairway - which are usually a crapshoot for me to say the least. So, thanks for the tips, I'll be experimenting more!
