  • "Now listen babaay, we gon' have to tie ya down to the chair and gag ya, cause you know we want ya to stay." Hahaha, I love this movie, so many emotions stir up inside of me when I watch it. Classic :).

  • excelllent movie =)))))

  • this movie makes me wanna be teacher now. im just like those kids glad i graduated but straight up feelin motivated to help kids such as myself and those in this movie we have alot of students like that but not enuff teachers like ms. johnson. them kids is actually smart they just solve the problems differently then the teachers. imma be teacher! hell yeah i am!

  • NOT KNOCKING?! he sent the gawjess EMILIO away bekuz he didnt fcking KNOCK?!!! EMILIO should of KNOCKED kimberlys ass out! dat asshole!

  • the saddest part of the movie is when it's gonna end

  • raul was the best character...

  • Teacher: How did they get you to come back?

Mr. Johnson: They gave me candy and called me The Light.

    Teacher: Hehe, that'll do it.

    Roflmao XD

  • this movie makes me proud of being a teacher

  • Wow.. 131 votes and the worst grammar I have seen in a long time. Maybe you should of stayed in school @ monkeygiggling

  • can somebody please tell me who that girl is at 3:45? shes has the biggest sexy lips ever and one of the sexiest faces.

  • @vidaa82 ur troubled

  • @Trecin

shut up! how am i troubled? i guess cuz shes not some skinny white chick and i go against the norm theres a problem? everyone has their preference and that girl is fine as life.

  • Whatever happened to movies like this? Back in the 90's we had incredible movies, a story with content.. Today it's all about special effects and ZERO content..

Thumbs up if you miss the old days..

    -Greetz from Belgium-

  • why the fuck didnt i have a teacher like that...awesome movie one of m.pfeifers best :)

  • gr8 movie

  • movie sucks good at the beginning but the end no

  • @DayDreamerFoR3alz fuck u man, the movie is amazing, U suck

  • @DayDreamerFoR3alz yea, well, your'e a cunt.

  • this is the best movie i have seen there are not many teachers that they motivate u to keep going to school oh and by the way RAUL'S is cute

  • Raúl's smile is the cutest ;)

&nd what grade was LouAnne teaching?

After reading a comment, this reminded me of my last homeroom teacher. Her hair was similar :). She's a role model.

Plus I'm impressed with Michelle's &nd the students acting!

  • can someone tell me the name of the song that starts at minute 04:03 ?

    Please !!!!!!

  • @PelusoRyD say what was wrong with that girl that vomited blood in dangerous minds

  • And you can make that Collecting Trash as a garbage man...

  • How funny would it be if after he through her the candy bar and they all started chanting and she was dancing and laughing...she just said 'Okay that was really fun.' ...and walked out.

  • thank god I had a teacher like her

  • 7:17 For your song ;D

  • God, as a teacher... this just touches my heart. I've had a number of students do something similar for me this year. Really, no matter how hard the work can be and how bad the financial circumtances are (trust me, we're underpaid), being a teacher is the most wonderful job :-) Loved this film, saw it for the first time. Thanks from a happy teacher from Holland, Europe. (near Amsterdam - which really, is a small version of NYC)

  • @iiiiiccccc Look i loveh D your amzing ppl. But I mean teachers around the world just leave kids distraught cos they don't understand what we're doing or what's going on inside. yeah you all bin kids but you aint bin us. You can't just walk in and out when you want. teachers need to be able to show kids the same respect we show youse!

  • @iiiiiccccc I read not so long ago that a head teacher is paid on average £65,000 per year. Of course, your typical English teacher won't be paid that, but I still think that teachers go too far with their financial complaints.

  • This is an awesome movie ;w; Sad but awesome. i just remembered the guy who plays Raul is actually the guy who plays the Cross Dressing Convict "Sally can't dance" from Con Air

  • that's that women form scarface! she's hot

  • I want a teacher like this. I have never had a teacher like this and i wish i did

  • We saw this in my education college class today. This opens up so many different eyes to what teachers will really face. Though most teachers don't go in for an interview for student teaching and come out with a job.

  • I had like that all high school teachers watch this,

so they learn how to be a REAL teacher like her!

  • My teacher showed me this vid and it seemed interesting. It wuz out when she is in primary 6 so it's pretty old but it rockz!

  • 1 DISLIKE... why would anyone dislike this?!

  • I have had good teachers like this. And Its good to say THANK YOU to them.. I went to give thanks to one of my professors .. and months after that.. he died.. .. Its always good to say thank you.. nobody appreciete the work of the good teachers..

  • I'm a teacher, I care about my students but they don't react like those in the movie, don't judge too hard on teachers. I work in a similar school, I have alot of kids who have a lot of issues. It's not easy at all to work with people who don't care, don't respect and are completely disinterested. I sometimes get so exhausted that I really think that they don't deserve mybeing concerned about their problems and progresses at school. So sometimes teachers just give up.

  • @isabella2921 You can't make a difference in all of your student's lives, but the ones you make an impact on will remember you for years to come. I graduated in '07, I'm 24 now, and I stil Email and visit the teachers which helped me most. Just remember, school years represent some of the most influential years in a child's/teen's life, don't give up! Much love from Cali :)

  • @SuicidalBunny0 So true! Thanks from a teacher :-)

  • @iiiiiccccc No, Thank YOU for shaping our future minds ^_^

  • @isabella2921 been there too as a teacher. Hard isn't it? And I too left a school. And I meet those same "horrible" kids on the trainstation to work regularly and they always come up to me and tell me how they're doing in school and that they're trying the best they can... that's such a reward. They may not express it now, but really, they do feel it. Hang in there ;-) Ultimately, we have a wonderful job. At the end of our lives we've contributed to the good lived of at least a few of them :-) x

  • The ending is similar to Lean on Me when the princpal is walking out in the hallway! Lean on Me and Stand and Deliver were great movies too, if you like this one, try watching the others! This movie was very touching and really deep. I'm glad I saw it!

  • michelle pfeifer was brilliant in this movie.its definatley one of her best roles.

  • Thx for posting this movie, long time no see, still love it!

  • @MTVO1983 michelle pfeifer was brilliant in this movie.its defanatley one of her best roles.

  • @cbs1977 you are sooo right...love Michelle Pfeifer, espec in this film

  • yo she wud get down 4 some candy and a compiment huh? not gon lie id hit that real talk

  • great film, also watch samuel l jackson in 187, great film

  • I had a teacher like that, sadly, i was the one who gave up and walked away. Id do anything to go back and start over. Its been 9 years since I left school. I have nothing, and probably never will. If youre a student and you have a teacher like her, hold on to it, hold on to it with all your might! Youll look back one day and thank God you did.

  • @RayvenNyte09 You may not be able to go back and do it all over, but you can still make up for those mistakes...even if they are baby steps at first. Don't give up. God has a plan for you.

  • pretty cool movie.

  • love this... i kind of cried,..hahaha..lolz.... hmm...

  • Love this movie! The soundtrack too is very strong. Go Coolio!

  • i thought gangsta's paradise video clip appearred on the film

  • this movie is so real...this happens in real life and we need more teachers like that.

  • Epic movie. Too good for words.

  • why are they worried if she leaves if they are all graduating?

  • This movie and freedom writers have the same theme

  • thanks for sharing

  • Really love it!

  • This song is soo real!! i like it alot

  • This is a wonderful movie even though the urban city children are depicted in the wrong way but is nice....and the principal was mean, Emilio could've lived if he hadnt sent him away for not knocking....but overall a great film reminds me a little of Freedom Writers but this one is better

  • @Goopricky Lol Freedom Writers was way better.

  • @Joratechives no way. freedom writers was wack compared to this shit. This shit is almost as good as Stand and Deliver actually I think they are on the same level x)

  • awesome movie! It makes you wanna be a teacher doesn't it..to change ppl...lol thanks for the upload

  • the kid's clothing changed from the start of the movie to the end. their clothes were all baggy, and didnt even care to dress nicely, now at the end they are all for the most part dressed decently

  • Great movie...Thanks so much for posting.

  • Actually a lot of teachers care, perhaps even most. Teachers don't teach because of the money, it isn't good at all!

  • Miss Johnson was those kid's motivation. lol Not saying they couldn't do it but they really needed Miss Johnson to get through highschool. They didn't have it easy to begin with but with her, it made it a little easier because she cared so much and didn't give up on them. They needed that. :) lol

  • amazing movie..i love it so much..such an inspiration...

  • I was so lucky to have a teacher like that. He really inspired and encouraged me to become a teacher myself and I hope I can be just like that. Really help pupils and get them to realize how powerful education is.

  • luv dis movie.

  • I'm starting college to become a high school teacher. "Ms. Johnson" is the kind of teacher I want to be. During high school, I was blessed with a teacher just like her. One that truly cared about my well being, a teacher that become more like family than just an instructor. There is nothing in the world that can beat that feeling of having your teachers actually care about where you end up.

  • I really enjoyed this movie even though it's forgotten, the theme song is legendary though. To Sir With Love is still the best film of the genre.

  • I love this movie!!

  • she look so good i mean all of those girls but i str8 go for the teacher she is beautyful

  • If you really liked this movie you should see Freedom Writers. that's the real fuckin' shit right there. but this movie is The One & Only movie. it's so fuckin awesome i watched it twice!! xDD HAHAHA!! so awesome.

  • knock it off with those silly ni66a dances

  • I remember when this movie came out... The entire school went to see it. One of the movies I'll never forget...

    <3

  • What an incredible heart-warming movie. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for uploading this <3

  • this movie has one of the best soundtracks

  • i absolutley love this movie......thank u for postin it

  • Now listen baby we're going to have to tie you down to the chair and gag you...because you know we want you to stay! LOL

  • Excellent movie!!!

    Thanks for posting it!!

    :)

  • I didn't know the guy that played Emilio died...R.I.P

  • wats the name of the song they plays at 6:12

  • Not bad but yeah this movie is kinda cheesy and probably also a pretty docile representation of those types of communities. Also a better version of this movie was made 40 years before this one called "Blackboard Jungle".

  • they used to call her "White bread" at the beginning, and at the end they call her "The Light"

  • devante - gin and juice

  • top film

  • my favourites are derrell and his bro, they were da best

  • "Now listen baby, we gon hafta tie ya down to the chair and gag ya, cause you know we want ya to stay"

    Love it lol!

  • this movie is good but corny. Now 187 that was scary and realistic, thats how a real ghetto school is, the teacher has to watch their back just like the students.

  • good point, please tell more about this interesting fact

  • who did this track playing " i gat the gin and juice"

  • @hakayobeq gin and juice - devante

  • In real life, there is a very few teachers like that,I mean who really care to learn to you something...it's the same all around the world...If one day,you meet a teacher like that who lend a helping hand, just take all that she/he gives you. These people are the truth,it can change your own life,it's a shame so people don't meet one of them in school...Knowledge is power!

  • @monkeygiggling i feel you man

  • @monkeygiggling WORD men wooord *hittin 2 times fist against chest and showing peace sign* word

  • @monkeygiggling I met a teacher like that but they fried her because she always fought with everyone. She also showed us movies like this such as:stand and deliver, freedom writers, and she also made us play this game that was really based on life.I liked her but at the same thing i hated her.

  • @monkeygiggling I met some of those teachers in my studies, in school, collage and universities, they don't just stuck in curriculum, they give you lessons about life, freedom, good thinking, and that’s more important for them than teaching technical or literal things, you can almost worship them, btw, my parents are teachers, and what they teach me is the most valuable things in my life.

  • @monkeygiggling

of course man!!! may i ask u something ??? are u a teacher in real life?

  • @thasameface85 Hi.Actually I'm just a studiant who got the chance to met some teachers who played a part of my success in school.I had the chance to believe in my self too. Some childs don't.It's a shame the most don't do their job..I'd love to be a teacher but that's not my vocation!Peace sir

  • @monkeygiggling You cannot be a teacher with that grammar.

  • @Kezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy Thanks a lot for your advice but before speaking you could have wondered if english was my motherlanguage. It isn't I'm french. So I take it as a compliment.I apologize to all people I could have hurt with my bad grammar.Have a nice day.

  • where was tha sex seen wit tha teacher lol

  • there was a sex scene??? ... i honestly dont remember there ever being one..

  • best movie of the year!

  • The principle needs to get hit in the knee with a crowbar by some guy who runs up in a ski mask out of nowhere.

He comes in the next day: "Students, I am sooooo sorry about the dead kid. You guys can just come in without knocking from now on. I'll just lock the door when the staff is giving me a blowjob."

  • Awesome Movie

  • based on a true story Think about that

  • THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS

  • Awesome.

Teachers like Mrs Johnson and mrs Gruwell are the teachers that us high school kids need nowdays. There aren't enough techers [or any] who CARE. They only care about school. They don't know shit thats going on in our lives, and then when they have the opportunity to learn, the front and start bitching at us like little dogs.

  • I know where you're coming from. But isn't there one teacher, just the one who you can say that "yeah I learnt, understood and she/he cared."

  • The only teacher that students in my school really pour their heart out into trusting is my Theater teacher. She's like...the only one who cares.

  • same here, all the teachers in my school care but theres a difference in caring for a limited time and going the extra mile for students

and thats thankfully, a good handfull of teachers in my school do

  • Vogue dancer lol

  • this movie is amazing

  • I´ve seen this movie three times now, and it gets me everytime. it´s really moving and touching, if for nothing else, then just because it´s so real (or at least so close to real). thanks very much for uploading !

  • did she stay???

    or she left????

  • she stayed, of course

Hal is asking her at the very end how the kid did persuade her to stay and she says they gave her a candy and call her their light - so it´s obvious she stayed.
