I love this song. I believe its my favorite! And I love what all you say before the song starts. Thats is so true, so encouraging and the world today needs that! Thanks for sharing this!
My favorite line in this song is, "I'd forgotten who had made it", if we could remember this we would be so much better off!
this song if for my beautiful mom who lost my father ,,pastor Eldon l. Brock , right after christmas 2006. he was our pastor and our best friend. he and i used to sing this for mom in church... mom this is for you.. in remembrance... your life will go on until you meet again.. until then...live..
I've always loved this song. And now it means more than ever. My grandmother passed away on April 1st of this year. She and my grandfather were married 59 years, she was his "Rose" like the woman the song refers to. Beside himself about her roses becoming sickly and dying (he didn't know how to care for them) he asked me to dig them up and take them home. It was the hottest part of summer, and there were so many of them, but they all made it, and now I have at least a dozen of her "ladies".
I love this song. I take a single rose to the cemetery each Friday so my love will have it through the weekend. She passed on Thanksgiving Day 2007. Roses will bloom again.
I also love roses. I tried growing some but they always die. I guess they can't stand the hot tropics of the philippines. But i did get to grow miniture one but their blooms get smaller nd smaller.
Just droppin' by to comment on what you have said. There are lots of roses blooming here in my home country, the Philippine islands. Better research for that, or visit the Philippines to check it out.
Anyway, the song is very inspiring, and the music is so simple, yet so great! Contemporary southern gospel music at its best!
