What the hell does being a public school have to do with whether kids should eat well? All kids should have healthy food and while the parents have the right to decide what their own kid can eat, the school board gets to determine what food can be distributed to a class or sold in a cafeteria. Why? Because children's health is important and something has to be done.

screw jonathan. shes right. We do teach children that junk food goes along with certain occasions. and btw its perfectly fine for her to hate fat people even though she never said that.

Hey MeMe, I raised $265 on a candle fundraiser for my high school chorus this semester in contrast to $28 on Krispy Kreme donut sales last semester. Maybe people already know that it's full of trans fat (3.5g! UGH!) and sat fat (3g). I wish more of the non-food fundraisers would exist -- no wonder the CSPI affectionately raised the donuts to "food porn" status in the January-February issue of the Nutrition Action Healthletter!!! :D
