  • hau kola toniktoqwahwo? how are you

  • lila wiya waste you are beautiful

  • hey man what does Nitawa hopa mean?

  • in south dakota there are the lakota , nankota , and the dakota tribes but all are sioux so there is different ways ofsaying ur beautiful in each language also there is 2 lanuages one for the men and one for the woman

  • Hello,I think (HOPA) it means beautiful.

  • There are several ways to say you're beautiful in Lakota, but the most simple way would be to say "nicho", "ni" is pronounced like the word "knee". Also, a fluent speaker would emphasize the last syllable.

This is the most simple, however, it could be considered slang. Another word for beautiful is "hope" or "hopa" (depending on how it used), the "h" is gutteralized, and the first syllable is emphasized. The "e" is like "e" in "bed." To say you're beautiful, say "nihope", emphasize on second.

  • Thank you for this, it is very kind of you to share your knowledge of the language. It beautiful sounding song.

  • We will never surrender; we live or we die, we live or we die.

  • The great spirit did not allow our great family to unite to punish the unwise because is their destiny to learn by falling. It is our fortitude to rebuilt and regenerate. Their fortitude is to transform. We the elders must be the guide. They shall be the vitality that will propel us to new ages. We are ready to summon the elders. May your awakening be a serene one my uncle. May the blood that soaked these lands binds us.

  • Peace be unto our enemies, for they walk and are heedless that they are feeble; encompassed by the great cosmic dark of the Milky Way.

Peace be unto our enemies, for they shall die like Epicureans, and never give thanks for the earth their feet embrace.

Peace be unto our enemies, for they are already dead, and their bodies lay embalmed to be examined.

Peace be unto our souls; for we will never surrender, we live or we die, and God is our witness.

  • Like wolf that roams the darkness, I was put in this path. Only mine is the task for the trail lights up behind me and my people and relatives shall see our destination. Thousand skins mother has put to our service it is time for the to serve their purpose. It is time to bend the stone. It is time move with the wind. It is time to heal earth and is time to take responsibility for our brothers actions.

  • I think the Native Americans are the only people on the face of the earth who TRUELY knew how to live as mother nature intended. I don't think anyone has ever been as respectful and understanding of the connectedness of all living things. I wish we could all live like that today.

  • im a native american and what a lovely comment

and this video is very beautiful :)

  • :) Thank you. I'm not Native American myself but thankfully I had a mother who thought it was very important to teach me about other cultures and so therefore I learned to see the different types of beauty in the world. But still, Native American spirituality is one of the simplest, yet filled with the most truth that I've ever come across. Or maybe I just really like it. Either way I have a lot of respect for Native Americans for their beautiful philosophies.
