Totally agree with @Steash82.. 2 TOTALLY different sports.. you may as well compare ice hockey to lacrosse.. I grew up in the states playing american football making the transition to rugby (league second-row and utility back and union back row and centre) here and I can vouch for the intensity of the 2 sports. Until you have put on pads and played the gridiron game and put on studs and played ruggers you should keep your ignorant asshole which you mistake for a mouth shut.

For you to say something like that leads me to a conclusion that you don't understand the nature of the sport. It's just as physical if not more because of what you can do to someone without the ball.
