It's a bit sad to think that in 1994, the year Romania could've won the entire world cup if not for our crap goalkeeper Prunea f-cking up the Sweden game, we beat Colombia 3-1 and Argentina 3-2, and now we lose this big against countries we wouldn't have considered a problem 10 yrs ago... very sad. We need people like Hagi now, and we need them badly.

i'm brazilian but i like the roumanian soccer , i saw two teams in world cups of 94 and 98 , i used to like players like hagi , munteanu , ilie , dumitrescu , pophescu , moldovan ... this teams lost for others two good teams thas wasn't the tradicional teams and stayed in the third position of the world , suecia and croatia

From experience, I think the Romanian style of playing football closely resembles the South American one. We put emphasis on dribbling and color just like you (just not on the same level :-P)

Lithuania's matches against France will be a test to see if they are for real. Yes, Romania was missing Mutu and Chivu, but they still "should" have won. Or maybe Lithuania is a lot better than people think. As I said, their matches against France will show us just how good they are.
