Must we always assume speed equals quality here? Though I respect this ability- it still take the musical ship into a very black hole of none quality. Must we always reached the end of the metronome? I've heard more slower and DRIVIER versions of this done by Kenny Baker who plays this slower so you can acutally HEAR what he is doing- he has better audience retention and bowing from note to note. Slower would be more interesting. WAY TOO FAST FOR QUALITY OR EVEN DRIVE! Speed doesn't equal drive.
I heard Steve Kaufman tell a story last year about recording a song on his album with Bobby Hicks (it might have been this one). He said he had to warm up for 3 1/2 hours just to be able to play it as fast Bobby.
