Mashallah beautiful Bayaan/lecture on Imam Azam Abu Hanifa RA. Indeed he was the Imam of all the Imam of fuqah. No one like him came after him who coded organized and compile all the fiqh issue. It was Abu Hanifa efforts that Islam has saw gread Muhadhith like Imam Bukhari ra, who was student of Abu Hanifa student Imam Yousuf RA.

I used to think why would Allah(swt) and his Messenger (saws) make something Halal and at the same time make it Haram? How cud this be? This is why its really important to gain knowledge of Islam and follow the Imams the way they wanted us to follow them, and not become victims of unconditional blind-following those who are prone to making mistakes and changing their opinions! Only RASULLALLAH (saws) is free from making mistakes and is worthy of our blind-unconditional following!!

@AuthenticSunnah: Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah have mercy on him) himself stated: "If the hadeeth is saheeh then that is my madhhab."

Aswell as: "If I say something that goes against the Book of Allaah or the report of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), then ignore what I say."

So clearly those that blindfollow the Imam are infact opposing to the core of his teachings. May Allah guide us to the Right Path. 'Ameen.

If u questioned or did not agree u were told that u are not a real Hanafee and so not a real Muslim as I was bound by Taqleed (blind following an Imam without proofs). I was brought up with the belief that it was FARD on me to follow 1 of the Guided Madhabs,even though they all contradicted each other in fiqh and had major differences of opinion! One madhab wud say something is Halal and another wud say its Haram! I used to think how can something be Halal and Haram at the same time in Islam?

Funny, they would always be quick to dismiss those authentic hadeeths as weak and fabricated found in Bukhari and Muslim! SubhanAllah, due to their extreme blind-following it was so easy for them to throw away the Hadeeths and statements of Muhammad (saws)! Yet, at the same time claiming to love RasullAllah (saws) above everybody else! How Ironic!!

JazakhAllah for an enlightening and balanced talk on Imam Abu Haneefa. Growing up, I was brainwashed into believing that Imam Abu Haneefa (ra) was infallible and was free from making errors and mistakes. That we must and should follow every statement of he's (ra), even if there was authentic proven hadeeths contradicting he's (ra) madhab. Put it simply, I was forced to reject the hadeeths /madhab of RasullAllah (saws) if the Hanafi Madhab apposed those authentic Hadeeths.. SubhanAllah!!
