  • Jack black + Antonio Banderas???

  • Joscho ist eben der Beste!

  • Show off

  • emmanuel is a nobody compared to this genius!!

  • @vinnothelizard Sure...lol.

  • what can you say mr Yngwie Malmsteen?

  • Mr Sandman to Mr I'm on crack man! (PS- I love Joscho!)

  • Nice

  • No es Mr Sandman, se llama The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise el tema

  • Así es, el tema es The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise

  • Así es, el tema es The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise

  • WOW !

  • Djesus Christ o.O

  • jack black!?

  • great

  • God damn, my explorer cracked while I was watching it, I think that was too fast :D

  • 20 minutes too much? It is only one tune of 2+ minutes. He varies his repetoire. He's phenomenal and can play slow and soulful too.

  • Wow... a great musician...but I think after 20 minutes of listening to such speed in music my ears will get tired and long for a slow melody

  • oh my God he is playing it the gypsy way

  • Jebany...

  • I think that man is what we could call, a maestro. Superb feeling and technique. Ow and another thing. In my opinion this man does not 'shred', he plays guitar. Incredibly fast yet still with LOTS of feeling.

  • @Ojoe2010

and completely effortless he makes it look easy

  • Einfach Klasse!!

  • Sufferin mother of f**k.............

  • i think the fast lines are 8 note patterns... great stuff

  • he kills music with those runs, they are not bad but there are too many of them!

  • This tune reminds me of Les Paul.

    GREAT performance, btw

  • The Themme is called the world is waiting for the Sun to rise, not mr. sandman,

    you don't know about jazz.

  • @TheJazzFarm It's actually called The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise, not the sun to rise. You don't know about jazz.

Why not just enjoy the song instead of picking on a dude who just uploaded it cos he wanted to share this tune?

  • It's not Mr. Sandman though. It's "Waiting for the Sun to Rise."

  • this guy is so fucking good

  • the guy is a gypsy guitar virtuoso, pretty much every song is going to have fast lead parts (which are executed perfectly i might add). if that's not your thing then don't listen

  • Wow, that was an outstanding guitar player. I have been playing all my life, so when I hear someone like that it takes my breath away. Thank you!

  • The tune is "The world´s waiting for the sunrise" not "Mr. Sandman".

  • I like the part with the guitar.

  • Didn't anyone with these strong views on the song notice that he's not playing Mr Sandman", but "The World is Waiting for the Sunrise" (doh!). Kinda undermines the argument. He's playing perfectly within the genre - and expertly. What more could you possibly want?

  • 13 people are very stupid

  • @ravipage92 No...14 ;-)

  • Who the hell disliked this?!

  • Das war gut!!

  • Holy shit!!!! That dude can play the guitar. Wowwwwwwwwww!

  • WTF, you guys don't even know what song he's playing?

  • Great playing, and super mario was *NOT* this fast lol

  • Empty.

  • I object to the guy who said he doesn't capture "the" mood or "the" feel of the song; it's jazz, buddy...every song has a million feels and moods.

  • @Khalilullah

But he is doing a cover of the song "Mr Sandman" which is meant to capture the slow dreamy state as one drifts off to sleep. All this shredding is the complete opposite.

  • @Mrunreal I think that you are thinking way too much. It-is-a-tune...a jazz tune. If you have listened to any jazz(which I'm sure you have), you would realise that different people do different things with tunes. I've heard Latin versions of "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing"...does the song swing? No...Latin beats are not swing beats. Were the versions kick-ass? Yes.

  • This song is "The World is Waiting for the Sunrise," not M. Sandman!

  • @pencap23 Haha, that's funny. I didn't think it was Mr. Sandman, but I wouldn't have seen this excellent musician if I hadn't seen this related video from watching Sandman videos.

  • Damn, I saw him today in Wrocław, epic gig and he is one helluva player o.O

  • when does he play Mister Sandman?

  • dude, this guy could play dragon force in his sleep...

  • @pobob7 dragon force is all faked :P dont forget that. Joscho Stephan is real!

  • dude, this guy could play dragon force in his sleep...

  • The new Django Reinhardt :)

  • Umm, great playing and all, but it really doesn't capture the feel or mood of the song, at ALL. Great playing nonetheless, to each his own.

  • Fantastic!

  • I bet his right hand fell off after the show.

  • Coming to Kilkenny Oct 10th!

    See you there JS

  • That's really awesome. But... it looks like an acoustic Dragonforce.

  • @jacquesmetal123 Dragonforce wouldn't even be able to play the intro.

  • @edgarrg94 fuck dragonforce this is real music :D

  • what a player.... his fingers must hurt....lol

  • guitar hero god!

  • reminds me of super mario games

  • My awesometer just broke.

    --c.

  • I can hope to one day play half as well as this guy. MAYBE.

  • This is what I want to hear; Wynton Marsalis, Joscho Stephan, James Carter, Liu Fang and the Asian American Orchestra together.

  • i just love this tune!

  • Ongelooflijk, de uiterste perfectie van beheersing van zijn gitaar....... PERFECT !!!!!!

  • This song is "The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise"

  • He is one of the best. He has dynamics, virtuosity, phrasing and imagination. And anyone can see that this guy worked really hard. You can hear in his playing Django, Stochelo, Bireli, Meola etc...

  • The World is waiting for the sunshine, Les Paul did a nice version, as well.

  • he just ruined the original song by this show. silly.

  • This piece is misnamed: It's 'The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise." Still amazing music! I'm afraid he'll hurt himself!!

  • Great right hand technique

  • pretty good, he's fast and plays very well. Thik you made a mistake for the title, it's not Mr Sandman. Does'nt matter anyway.

    keep goin'

  • Holy shit.....

  • I really wonder why some people (some good guitarists and some not) still lose their time and ours just complaining that the video they can actually enjoy for free is not the best or whatever. You know what guys, if you dont ike, just change the fucking channel and GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • absolutely amazing

  • I like most parts but some i consider fast rubish. Speed isn't everything, you need to make it sound right

  • @mrvlhs

Yes I agree but there is a difference between guitar players and entertainers ... Look at Tommy Emmanuel! He plays fast and often it doesn't sound very clear and sometimes he uses his guitar just to make percussions! That's not really guitar playing ,but it's funny and entertaining !! ;) And I think Joscho Stephen is such an entertainer !!

  • @Benw911 I think Tommy Emanuel's fast sounds a lot better. I'm saying that players like this one sacrifice musicality for speed. Tommy does not

I think Tommy is a very complete package

  • this guy is a phenomenon!!!!well done!!!!!!what a music and tehnicque!!!!!!!

  • without a boubt the guy is good, but it comes to the stage where the tune is lost in improvisation and frankly showing off. his earlier stuff was much better

  • This isn't "mr sandman" douche bags, it's "the world is waiting for the sunrise." Fuck, why won't someone rename this?!?

  • out uf this world..amazing....

  • Does anyone else thinks he looks just like jack black, or just me

  • @gibsoneer321 totally

  • @gibsoneer321 he really does jajajaja

  • check theTchan Tchou Vidal playing live with moreno.See the speed he plays and check it out the feeling

  • this style is not about speed at all and what he does is speed up things and train 12 hours scales.that s what i see i don t feel nothing. you can see the django s playing is the feeling that matters. Some players speed things up like stochelo, bireli, jimmy but you can feel they re not fucking super guitar cyborg music is not machine playing.

if you like machine playing joscho is the best for sure =)

  • @andre3236

It's not like joscho is the yngwie malmsteen of gypsyswing:) I agree that on this song he goes rather fast but if you hear les paul's version of "waiting for the sunrise" you can clearly see that's the way it's played. You should check bossa dorado, joscho puts a lot of feel in that one. I think joscho is what django would've been if he would have had the full usage of his left hand and was a savant...

  • Has nothing to do with Django or Gypsy Jazz.... This is nothing more than a good technique which is not much

  • @Stingerfyle do you just go around Joscho's videos mouthing them off. Fuck off if you don't like it.

  • @dylanlawless1 : Yes, this is what I do!

  • really no soul at all

  • You're so right!!

  • the name of the song is, the world is waiting for the sunrise, and I think he has a lot of soul.... not only technique

    a real genius

  • genius.. pure magic!!

  • Sounds like Django...!

  • Django on amphetamines.

  • At least very nervous... XD

  • You mean Django with all his fingers.

    ;)

  • what the fuck!

  • good stuff davefrog100

  • I dont have words to say...I saw this guy playing alive...he s AWSOME

  • jealousy is the greatest form of flattery.

  • boring, no soul. yeah look at me i can hide a tune in bullshit

  • Stochelo on steroids.

  • aweesome!!!

  • OxXx is right. It's no "sandman'. Try "The world is waiting for the sunrise".

  • Oh my golly!! That was so far out that Im now crippled with my turtle slow motion. 5 Stars A+ A+ = The best In the world....

  • Very nice,,,,but I never did hear "Mr. Sandman".

  • @skymaster336 agree, lots of notes, but no tune? think the sandman ran away.

  • it is waste of time compare Django and Stephan bout have own character, but everybody new players who try play like Django cant do that,Django have soul who ever nobody catch

  • its ridiciolous compare django and joscho django got soul but where joschos ,joscho is wery technicial player and i hope someday he found more deeply his playing and own thing ,possibilities got

  • Django smiles from heaven

  • one of the greatest guitarists ever. no doubt

  • ENTER SANDMAAAAAN!

  • tu chra i bari pekli mintsch ;-)

  • Ek. How ironic that angry??? should be searching for mr sandman. Admittedly this aint it...another search prolly find it ...it aint as bad as it seems ;) Anway Joscho Stefan rocks with...is it China Boy...?

  • this is The World is waiting for the Sunrise ;)

  • what an asshole you are. Do us all a favor and shoot yourself !

  • You and poopbubu are too much of assholes to be alive. Kill yourself you miserable git !

  • fuck...............

  • Every genre has its speed demons. This guy is no exception. Still pretty freaking good though.

  • I feel sorry for those of you that can only criticize something clearly as spectacular as this is. If this doesn't excite you, nothing will.

  • handjob...

  • now this is shredding :)

  • I went to see Joscho in concert and left after 20 minutes because I was left uninvolved and was not enjoying the music. I tried to figure out why as I always liked his videos on here. What differed? Well playing live he loses the right tone for the guitar. The live tone is too rounded and smooth amplified and sounded more like a regular acoustic not a Macaferri style guitar. Dad's guitar was a normal acoustic and it didn't sound true to the gypsy jazz sound. It just didn't sound authentic to me.

  • This is phenomenal, as Joscho tends to be, but somehow this performance just wasn't as appealing as the one where he plays Django's Tiger. Shame that's been removed.

  • removed?!?!

  • what kind of guitar is that

  • no sandman in there.

'waiting for the sunrise' i believe.

  • i think joscho cannot play at a slow tempo, its a kind of a disease, I call it the yngwie malmsteem disease, very common among guitarists, especially young ones

  • bullshit, you obviously haven't listened to much of his music so you clearly don't know what you're talking about. i think perhaps you are just jealous you idiot

  • This dude is like a super guitar cyborg :D

  • great song, but its waiting for the sunrise, not mr sandman.

  • WOW!

  • incredible!!!!

  • den joscho muß man einfach kennen...

    super brilliant + graziös...

  • its because the song is called "the world is waiting for the sunrise"

  • once i stopped trying to hear mr. sandman it sounded great

  • Awesome!!! Thanks for posting:)

    Grandma Mary

  • i don't know music. but, it sounds just awesome. love it!

  • Yeah, it would be interesting to hear this same

man play this piece perhaps just a little quicker

than Mary Ford would sing it. But if you think

about it, Les Paul played it nearly as fast

    behind her.

  • Les Paul was a Django's fan, Arthur Smith too...

  • godam´ his in a hurry

  • Grandiose...

  • the uploader made a mistake, the name of the song is "the world is waiting for the sunrise" so don't try to hear out the tune of mr. sandman....

    joscho is great!

  • I went to Joscho's concert tonight and left after 20 minutes when he conveniently broke a string. I tried to work out why I was left so cold when I had loved his tube videos. It did not help that he rarely said anything or introduced the music and the tunes. I think what put me right off was his technical delivery and his over smooth tone. The tone was too fat and rounded and had none of the rougher edge and fire of Django or Lagrene. It was gypsy jazz played smooth jazz style. Shame really..

  • a magical man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Might be a fast player but thats what anybody can afford, just shreddin, i cant hear the actual song, just this guy posing....1/5

  • Right, I was wondering too, where's the actual melody of Mr. Sandman? Some people confuse music with sports. I don't even see it as improvisations, it's just playing different licks over and over.

  • hehe

  • this song reminds me of the slidey level on Mario 64

  • the best iv heard in ages this guy is a genious, wow im blown away man,im gonna burn my guitar.lol

  • lol tony I was just looking at my guitar thinking the same thing.

  • Jimmy is way better.. Joscho doesn't even has the real sinti passion...

  • joscho stephan is better than jimmy 1000 times

jimmy is nothing special and boring he play like he is still 9 year old

  • stephan plays sinti jazz while he can't even hear it, he plays from his lust not from his heart, jimmy has much more passion and stephan is just a fake sinti

just shut up u don't know shit about us

  • you are just jealous because joscho is not sinti and play so good

  • He hasn't even got the passion of a sinti, and ur a fucking kraut, ur people have killed enough of mine so stfu

  • you know some weird 9 year olds.

  • Holy shit! He's great

  • respira tio!

    don't forget to breath hehe

    amazing guy!

  • Oh my God...

  • heii das ist der schwiegersohn von meinem onkel wie geil

ich wusste zwar das der spielt aber nicht das der im interbet ist

  • Amazing speed !!!!!

  • his right hand is his secret.. knowing that he wanted to get a drumstick when he was child, it seems he likes to ''overspeed'' himself all time, and it's just outstanding...

  • ahm, did you ever play guitar? The backing track is from a cd, in a constant speed, he has to play that speed or sounds like shit, the "secret" behind all fast guitarplayers is just synchronisation of left and right hand and a lot of practise....dont post things that are crap....

  • oh! really? thanks anyway for your precious info. i'm not even sure how does a guitar look like, but now i know, thanks to you, that i've got a ''crap'' opinion.. so what about you?
