  • Do you know how sad that is... this is equal to having an ice cold room as wide as one and a half of your size.... thats not fair

  • i don't think that people understand that that is the depth of water that bettas florish in. in the natural habitat a betta will be in that depth on water. the only thing is if it was a little wider but still nothing wrong with it. my betta lives in a .5 gallon tank (it used to live in a 10 gallon) and loves it. so calm down people this isnt animal creulelty.

  • its ok. i like the tank. but u should get a smaller fish.thats all. and people its not animal cruelty.the person was just making a video of the smallest fish tank. good job.wrxvas.

  • it's a fish people.

    settle down.

  • @ChaosBW Oh Dear.

  • it was probably better off in the cup it came with to be honest

  • your a twat!!!!!

  • I wish it was you inside there. see how it feels. Ill take your betta thank you very much. Its animal abuse.

  • cruel!!!! animals hate you

  • OPTICAL ILLUSION the tank is small but it isnt that small

  • fish abuse.....

  • IT CANT EVEN TURN AROUND

  • :( Animal Abuse!

  • poor little guy, it like a torcher for him :( and it's a male too. why do you have that car? the poor fishie could barely move left to right

  • POOR FISH! THIS IS ABUSE! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE LOCKED IN A CLOSET WHERE YOU CANT MOVE FOREVER!?

  • first of all dude that wass harsh and second poor fish and third whats with the car

  • This type of practice is shocking, clearly enjoying the fact that the betta can't Fucking turn around is sick+twisted,u my friend should have been put down at birth,ur afterbirth would of acted more humane

  • Again: you ARE NOT a fish owner! Don't you realize that that poor little thing barley has enough room to TURN AROUND!! You definently aren't are proper fish owner.

  • poor fish, at least have it in a half gallon tank it needs room to swim

  • cool subaru asshole

  • Why dont we put this guy in the world's smallest house?

  • wat u gonna say to Allah when u die

  • These things often live in more cramped conditions in the wild, often living in foot prints in rice paddys.

  • let me put u in a 3ft x 3ft cage see how u like it

  • This is really cruel

  • That poor thing. It is clear that you do NOT know how to own fish. My betta female is in my 10 gallon community tank. Either save up for an aquarium, or spend $11 on a betta bowl for petes sake!

  • this may sound stupid but there is a great GREAT possobility your fish will atualy drown if you

keep it in that tank the reason fish swim aimlessly is beacous they do that to breath water needs to pass thru the gills it needs way more room

  • Awww poor fishy! But chill out guys he is probably gonna take it out after the video.

  • Fuck you

  • i have the same exact beta difference is MY BETTA IS IN A 55 GAL TANK

  • People say bettas like small spaces, that their natural habitat is only a few inches deep. Wrong! They may only be a few inches deep, but they're miles and miles long. So new rule of thumb, one betta=five gallons

  • @snickerzeefull yea no!!!!!! you dont need a 5 gallon for a single betta yea thats a small aquarium but chill hell probably take it out!

  • @snickerzeefull who cares im not putting my beta in a 5 gall he is happy in his half gall so is his mate and they had happy little baby fishes shows what you know....

  • Female betta fish are not voilent and can be kept with anything... its the males that are supposed to be kept in the tiny jar... this is just stupid

  • Srry to inform ya pal but that fish isnt gonna live very long in that little piece of plastic!

  • Poor thing doesn't even have room to turn around. I hate dumbasses that let super dumbasses have animals.

  • fucker

  • A Betta needs at least 1 gallon for each fish. THIS IS INHUMANE!

  • people call betas a lazy fish, but i find when you put them in a large tank the tend to becaome alot more livley and swim around like every other fish.

  • to prevent ammonia build up you have to clean this like every hour!

  • THAT IS FUCKING HORRIBLE YOU DUMBASS!!!! POOR FISH :(

  • why would you do that to your betta don't you see all the poop floating around

  • Gotta be jocking, seriously, that poor fish! she can hardly turn around. That's no way to live

  • Bettas need a lot of space. That is why I'm against this.

  • To all those people complaining about the size, Beta fish live in rice patty fields in the wild, often with one inch or less of water, and survive just fine. 5 gallons for one beta is too big, one gallon is ok. They do just fine in a tank that small. They are also capable of breathing air if they have to.

  • @redfeather2006 There is not too big for any fish. Do you even understand what rice fields are? Although vertical amount of water might not be very large, there is still water in very wide area and fish can swim all around it. 1 gallon is like small hole on the ground, something that would get dry in few days by sun. Stop spreading false information.

  • @redfeather2006 Also the fact that they do not die does not mean that they are doing fine.

  • get her a bigger home or she will die in that small tank

  • too small

  • hey when change the water of ur tank to that little one u used the same water from the big tank?

  • poor fish.. =(

  • I want to see a 50% water change in that tank

  • You idiots need to learn to read. He said this was a TEMPORARY TANK that he put her in while he was CLEANING her TEN GALLON TANK Learn to read or go back to kindergarten dumbshits.

  • you are an animal killer!!!:O:@

  • Ever thought he put it in there to show you all? They fish might live in a bigger tank!

  • prick!

  • YOUR THE BIGGEST MOST DISTURBING CUNTHOLE EVER!!!!!!!!

  • thats disgusting you asshole

  • jesus christ its a fish maybe its a temporary tank or he cant afford a bigger one at the moment report for animal abus my ass its one fish!!!!!!!

  • @supermark226 Even the half gallons are bigger then that hell.

  • @supermark226 Let me explain to you how fucking stupid you are. You could go to a thrift store and buy that fish a better home for 50 cents, far less than the fish itself costs. It is animal abuse, if you knew anything about fish you would know that ammonia would build up in that tank so fast after only a day or so its gills would start to burn from it. Please do not make such stupid comments, it makes you look less educated than your average pile of dirt on the side of the road.

  • @alhslm ur a fucking a retard to he said it was a temprary tank while cleaning his 10 gallon tank, and i said maybe its temporary. and there is no fish tank proper size for a betta 2.5 gallons that u can buy for 50 cents u sir no nothing about fish. if i wanted to i could post an updated video on my betta tank and it would 20x better than anything u have. i acutally use sycth. i actually get real facts and i dont overdue fish loving becuz somebody does something like this it doesnt mean criticiz

  • @supermark226 I am a retard? At least I can spell moron. You also apparently can't read. I said he could get a better home for 50 cents, not a proper home. Why shouldn't I criticize this? If he took the fish out he doesn't know how to clean a fish tank. Please reply only after making an effort to think about what you are saying, because you are just looking dumber by the minute.

  • @alhslm Just ignore people like @supermark226. Honestly, they are just silly.

    Entertaining, but silly (:

  • @supermark226 you sir, know nothing about grammar. I had a hard time deciphering your comment - but 2.5 gallons for a beta fish really isn't sufficient. People think it is, and market it as such because Betas in the wild live in small "puddle-like" ponds. But those ponds, however shallow, often expand over hundreds of feet of space. So if you're saying 2.5 gallons is alright for a Beta - you're wrong. One should give any fish at least 10 gallons.

  • YOU MANY!!!!WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NEXT!?!?!?SHOVE IT IN THAT HOTWHEEL!?!?!!?

  • Get it in to a bigger tank you sicko,it`s people like you who give aquarists a bad name.If you don`t get it in to a bigger tank i`ll come and get you and lock you in a cupboard and see how you like it.Mass murderers usually start being cruel to animals and fish.......

  • the poor poor fish! this is animal cruelty! :( how would you like to be kept in a cell barely big enough to turn around in!

  • that's cruel :(

  • Poor thing...

  • GIVE IT SPACE!ARE YOU CRAZy LOOK AT THE FISH!

  • the poor little fuck!

  • This is disgusting! A Betta needs a minimum of 2.5G.. This tank looks like its a toy, from a dolls house!

  • @andreacuthbert i'm not saying this isn't torture, but stop acting like you know shit!

  • your all idiots. the Siamese fighting fish or in latin Betta Splenden belongs to the family of fish called anabantoids, this means they have and organ called the labryinth organ which enables them to gulp air off the surface of the water in low oxygen situations. THEY STILL REQUIRE A FILTER ! This so called fish tank is not suitable for any fish so stop commiting acts of animal cruelty. lots of love from an avid fishkeeper and aquatic biologist of many years xxxx

  • Why do people so openly abuse Beta fish?!?!? Mine is kept in a 10 Gallon tank with a few tetras, they need to be in heated, filtered tanks. The same as any other fish. Poor thing

  • @VirtualHeadbutt my betta is in a 5 gallon tank with a heater he loves it people shouldnt put bettas in less than 2 gallon, i think even thats still a little too small. my betta's name is sushi. :)

  • @TheIzharp Haha, good! They deserve to have room to move around! Mine is named Jag! :)

  • Report for animal abuse!

  • Thats like you being thrown in a small 4'x4' jail cell and having to live there for the rest of your life! Kinda screwed up. They look cool and all, but wont support the fish in an enviroment like that. 100% guarantee the fish will die from its waste, amonia and nitrite, if water isnt changed on a daily basis

  • They don't get oxygen from the surface. The surface of any body of water has more oxygen NEAR it's surface. So IF betas have gills that require more oxygen, then it doesn't exclusively follow that they THRIVE in tiny volumes of water, because there are other situations that provide that advantage besides tiny volumes of water.. It's still an very cool species though.

  • @mickblock Bettas do get oxygen from the surface of the water or, actually, they take a gulp of air from above the surface of the water. That is why they are able to live in small containers since they don't derive most of their oxygen from the water itself. Even though they are able to live in small containers because of this adaptation, they still most likely prefer a larger tank/area to live in. I never stated that they should live in small containers, I just said they are able.

  • One gallon of water per one inch of fish...

  • oh that is so wrong. all jokes and crazy comments aside, that's just evil. i'm glade u think the shit is cute enough to put on youtube, but u will get urs one day and its going to be bc ur were evil to a fish. how sick and lonely do u have to b to get off on putting a fish in that kinda hell?! you need a life and some friends or something. loser.

  • Cruelty to animals !!!! :-(

  • :( the poor thing can barely turn left or right this is worse then the petshop bowls

  • Betta fish seem to thrive in smaller habitats...but this is is just way too small. =\ Beautiful fish, though. It's too bad her owner's an idiot.

  • Oh mon dieu pourquoi est-ce que tu fait ça à cette petit poisson c'est pas bien à fait ça!

  • why would anyone do something like that?!?

  • BTW nice subaru.

  • Guys shut up hes only putting the betta in this small tank for a video. He'll put her back into a bigger tank.

  • Cute fish tank, but not for that big of a fish.

  • You should give each fish at least 10 gallons of water

  • Goldfish are kept in minimum 1 gallon tanks. But Betas for some reason, even in the pet shops, are kept in little 4 oz cups???

  • @mickblock They are kept that way because they are able to survive in those conditions since they get their air from the surface, not the water itself. They still need to be put in a large fish tank in order to be happy and thrive.

  • @MapleBedas Wrong answer.

  • @mickblock Why

  • @mickblock The rule is 10g per goldfish.

  • @mickblock actually that is wrong. Minimum for a fancy goldfish is 10gallon, and 20 gallon for a common goldfish because they can grow to be very big 8-12 inches and produce much more waste than any other fish. Though I do not like how people keep betta in sucha finy confined place, Betta doesnt need all the space goldfish need. Also they are aggressive which make it hard to keep in community tank and boring in a large tank alone, though I think should atleast be one gallon for betta

  • @mickblock Goldfish are only sold to people who can provide 10 gallons at least for each goldfish where I live.

  • @mickblock Yeah thats pure animal abuse. And 1 gallon for goldfish is a joke too and pure animal abuse. In here Finland recommended aquarium size for one goldfish is 20 gallons, and you need to have more than one of them. too.

  • It can't even turn around. I know you probably think this is cool, but it can't even turn around. What were you thinking?

  • The tank's about the size of your brain, asshole.

  • Betas in the wild live in puddles of water. PUDDLES. And they get very upset when other betas invade their puddles. For most fish this would be terribly cramped. For a Beta this is about the right size.

  • @Zarrakan Those PUDDLES can be at least 100 feet long.

  • @maisydog13 Yeh, and they can also be the size of that. Puddles tend to be small that's why we call them puddles, and not ponds, or lakes. Your point?

  • @Zarrakan Actually that is a myth betta fish do not live in puddles. They live in rice paddys.

  • @Zarrakan

It's like being loved in a closet for your whole life.

  • Fucking retard

  • poor fish

  • I have this glassbox its a mini hot wheels holder

  • ma così il pesciolno si impazzisce ,mettilo in una vaschetta big !!!

  • thats cruel

  • omg awesome car! is it like hotwheels or matchbox or somthing?

  • how can 23 people have rated up for this video

  • How would you like being confined to a bathtub for the rest of your life?

  • POOR FISH! I know this was made a year ago but... POOR FISH!

  • poor poor fish

  • if i were you i wood get sumthing biger...... How wood you like to live in a very very small cage like that.....People have no mind they shood yoos it.....And no hart!!!!!!

  • 1 Gallon per inch per fish.*

  • 1 inch per fish.

  • the poor fish needs more room!

  • =(

  • MEAN

  • Tierquälerei

  • it makes that betta look big

  • DAM

  • Nice dead fish!!!!

  • if it is a female can it mate with mine

  • did it die?? hopefully u put it in a bigger tank cuz thats just too heartless!

  • it doesnt need 30 gallons ok all am sayin is it need a little more room

  • Poor thing has no room to swim! At least get a half gallon tank, at minimum!

  • you sad fucker bettas are living creatures to how would you like to live in a coardboard box for your whole live

  • ASSHOLE

  • OH I have one of those but I put cherry shrimp in mine

  • poor goldfish:(

  • This is sick and cruel, would you lock a dog in a small linen closet or a cat in a drawer ? then why lock your fish in a tiny "tank" where they cant move around or be comfortable.

  • pobre pez que crueldad

  • dude...thats for a guppy to give birth

  • Bettas need at least a gallon of water, at the last .5 gallons. If you can't take proper care of the fish, find someone who will. It's that simple.

  • freedom for this fish

  • your idiots, do you know where beta fish live? in small puddles, small and dirty muddy water.

  • @MattOshow true but it doesnt mean their happy in it

  • @MattOshow they can live in puddles but do you know where they normally live, in rice patties in Thailand. So you don't know enough to go making comments about Bettas.

  • @MRmeepmurp They do not live in puddles. It doesn't rain and then there's magically betta fish in puddles.

  • i feel like putting you in a small box wrxas

  • u will die soon :p

  • fuck my shit dick asshole

  • how would you like to breath your shit....dickhead

  • I pray that isnt its full time time tank, I doubt it is.

  • you people can be so simple minded. how do any of you know that this is the permanent tank the fish lives in? you are going off a minute video...for all you know, he put the fish in this "tank" as a joke, maybe he was cleaning the other tank and decided it to shoot some footage of the fish in this container. stop over analyzing it. i can understand if it is clearly stated somewhere this is the living space of the fish. but no where does it say that.

  • @IvIustangsvt2003 But what if it is? There is no definitive proof that it isn't the living place of the fish. If people want to share their opinions, it's their decision.

  • @CyanideDespair where does it clearly state that this is permanent housing for this fish? no where that i see. like i said, he or she could have just put this fish in this just to take a video for youtube. where in my post did i say its not ok to state their opinions? i didnt but i agree that people can share whatever they want. most of the comments i read isnt exactly sharing opinions. its immature little kids writing just to bash the guy/girl.

  • it doesn't have enough oxygen. could you be dumber? i think not

  • Well the best way to solve this are by some nice comments. The fish is very pretty, but as a betta breeder and care giver i suggest getting at least 2.5 gallons

  • You are horrible.

  • going to die i dont know beta fosh really dont need much water to survive but that is kinda messed up how small it has room to swim but then it could just be there for the video

  • real.. fake.. temporary ? not? whatever the reality of this video, its a cheap shot at getting hits on youtube at the expense of a very elegant fish. wish folk would stop trying stuff like this on youtube for cheap hits.

  • It's just mean. Go play basketball or something and take out the negativity on the court, but don't bother with Bettas. She's probably long dead now and what an end.

  • hello people, when you buy a betta in a fish store where is it at? duh,,in a small cup...he just put it , so the whole world can look and comment stupid stuff,,,no one cares, thats why its called you tube, people do whatever the hell they want...

  • Funny how people are still writing to put this fish in a bigger tank even though this vid was made a year ago!

  • no offense but thats torture :(

  • r u this fcking stupid? the container/bag ur betta fish comes in is bigger then that piece of shit. instead of a upgrade for the poor betta u gave it a down grade... Ur a piece of shit person.... do u enjoy watching animals suffer ur moron...

  • lol everyone is so pissed that its in a small tank... have you ever seen what stores keep them in?? cups like half that size..

  • @loganis69 Are you an idiot? The bettas that are for sale in pet stores SHOULD have a print in BIG BLUE PRINT - THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT HABITAT FOR YOUR BETTA. Anyways, look who's talking. You're not supposed to keep them in a confined place, it builds up ammonia faster and the fish has less space to swim in for exercise. Idiot.

  • Disgraceful :@

  • people its just a temporary home that the fish is in while its tank is getting cleaned out!!

  • not the reel tank people obviously a temporary tank

  • its goanna die idoit

  • @lissie30103 i bet he did like most people would do, put the beta in the tank just for the video then put the beta back into its original bigger tank
