It takes much more than the media to cause a shooting, parents fucking up is the biggest problem. I grew up with violence and extreme gore as a kid and have a very high and strict sense of morals, it might actually be good to show kids this

I am a radio tv broadcasting major, and i have learned many models and theories relating to violence in the mass media. Media does affect behavior... buying, mannerisms, sayings, and yes, even violence. The question is not whether or not it does, but, how much it affects certain people.

As I said, It takes much more then the media, I believe the level it affects people is small and the most part comes from other factors. Someone messed up can learn tactics from movies and internet. But simply seeing a shooting or how to make a bomb doesn't do it. Social environment first, then domestic influence is what causes it I believe. Glad we could agree tho on media having some sort of effect :D
