  • nice set of well rounded moves checkout vids of my fights this my first year competing so any advice is welcome

  • @Activity150

I NEED A BELT TO HOLD UP MY PANTS?

  • @Activity150 well, not everyone trains to compete, the ranking system does give an idea of progress and acheivment

  • So cool how Paul at 7:20 wipes out the opponent and then must render 1st aid to revive him LOL!!!

  • what age do you recomend someone to start ?

  • @HDFuZe1997 i guess you are born in 97 me 2 and i have traind in 1 year

  • You have to get special permission to get a black belt below 18, and it's rare. There's no way at 12. I know exactly one BB who got it at 17, and only because he was beating most of the governing body in competitions at the time, which made it difficult to deny him.

  • this is fucking incredible!

  • Thats JJ! Yea!

  • some good fights but those Mats are some what suspect none of you heard of Health and safety

  • so wish sports jujitsu still had events with any reliable frequency

  • Schools these days give away belts like candy

  • Little known fact: Paul's opponent @ 7:25 is Vince, the ShamWoW! guy. Experts say he couldn't land a punch on Creighton because he was not a prostitute.

  • Guy is such a beaasssssst.

  • love to take on you fag id kick your ass next time you come to england look me up. pussy!

  • 1:41

  • I train at Creighton MMA/BJJ

  • @99strforyou how much does it cost a month at his gym?

  • Just in your opinion, do you think someone who trained in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu could have a pretty nasty ground game for MMA? Or would BJJ be better? Or does it just depend on training?

  • looks like some wrestling background... hmmm. nice stuff!

  • yes it's semi-contact and you get two points for a clean hit otherwise 1 point

  • paul is a beast

  • perfect video

    5*

  • is the standup part semi contact? also how are the points scored?

  • lovely sissors takedown

  • at 7:11 a fighter with heart :)

  • Met Paul Creighton and Renzo Gracie at Karate College 2009 in Blacksburg, VA. Those guys are great teachers, very patient. World class athletes.

  • i have 5.qyu now :D

  • You tube... Where all commenters hold atleast a 2nd dan in all styles they analyse :)

  • @adamjacques1 hahahahahah lol , thank you for saying that man , it is so true

  • the man is class

  • ...looks like he has extensive wrestling experience.

  • what kind of choke did he use at 2:10?

  • Either an Ezekiel or some type of lapel choke

  • could be a gi choke, cant really see that well though

  • That's what a lapel choke is... a type of gi choke... and with his position, only a couple of chokes would work, being an Ezekiel or a lapel choke.

  • ezekiel i think

  • looked like a cross collar choke

  • I have been training for some time. I can honestly say I am impressed with Paul.

  • I love the Kane Sute at 1:40... Perfectly done, except he could have been a little closer and had his hips a little deeper to throw him harder... I love that perfect.... That is my favorite throw and what I am best at, it catches a bunch of the bigger guys that I train off gaurd to see a 5'0 105 pound girl fly in and throw them extremely hard

  • you would do well to have more respect then.

  • If you are, you shouldnt post it on youtube ..

    omg

  • nobody should be doing a black belt grading at 12. good that you've dedicated to something, but dont critsise others. perhaps your school is not a great one because nobody should be bb at 12

  • @mgbrawl what was this a reply to?

  • this is bjj man not standard jujitsu

  • this is Ju Jitsu because it incorporates strikes aswell, u should know the art before u start commenting

  • I like that takedown on about 1:40 or so. Nothing I've ever seen in my SJJ dojo. Anyone know the name of that technique? It´s a whole lot of lift and drop besides that one, American style I guess... Looks interesting.

  • im about to start at creightons academy soon :)

  • This video this fantastic. Paul Creighton is a world class athlete. Definitely one to study.

  • great jujitsu. shame about the loud yank shouting.

  • this kind of remids me of the old school UFC bouts w/ Royce Gracie.

  • i like how the ref's are black belts too...in case things get out of hand.

  • mash em up paul!!!

  • what are the rules for this 'sport' jujitsu??

is it similar to mma without headshots and with the gi? do you points for strikes/throws?

can someone please reply to me if they know : )

  • i can't post links but you can find the rules quiet easily by simply googling them. just type "jiu-jitsu rules" in google, second link from that list is what you are looking for i think.

  • no straight kicks or punches to the head. You can't do anything with full force. You get points for punching, kicking, takedowns, tap out moves and holding someone on the ground 30 seconds

  • kicks in the head are allowed but not punches...I do Hokutoryu Ju-Jutsu in Finland and I know.

  • sport jujitsu is similar to kick boxing you can strike (kicks/punches)

use throws but you cant punch or kick in a clinch or on the ground but you can go for a submission

  • phase 1 = striking, no straight punches or kicks to the face...hooks, and kicks to side of head are ok, no knees or elbows

phase 2 = tie up for take downs, striking ends

phase 3 = on the ground. if nothing happens in phase 3 you are stood up and start from phase 1 again

you're not supposed to go for a striking knockout, its more of a skillset to use strikes to get points and setup for a takedown/choke or lock

  • thanks every1 4 replying!

  • I had practice karate for quite a long time, and now I started to train ju-jitsu and I must say your movie is rly amazing! Very inspireing...

  • wow he's to deadly...

  • Your obvisously a wrestler, you hit the fireman's carry, Jack whizer(? is that spelled right" underhooks and laterals and singles. lol they don't know wtf is happening

  • jujitsu incorporated those moves. but thanks to the wrestlers for giving us something good to steal from them ;)

  • he just said juZITsu on 8:29 LOL

  • luta para cacete!!!

  • i admire you man! keep it up!

  • I practice Karate and I'm starting to train in jujitsu too. I would like to compete in this art and this video really help to see how the training quality must be. Really amazing!!!!

  • He is a beast!!!!

  • sucks wish had this around here...i self practice since no where here teaches jujitsu its all taekwondo

  • where r u from?

  • Are strikes permitted while grappling or on the ground in Japanese jiu jitsu?

  • Sport jujitsu looks awesome! Any schools in the metro Detroit area? I'll love to train in it.

  • Have any of you sport jujitsu guys ever see kudo? It's basically japanese full contact karate (face contact included) combined with judo.

  • Cool video.

  • Nice vid :)

  • 1:45 into the video, thats a sweet ass take down from being on the ground

  • not that difficult

  • I met Paul at his gym and he is a world class guy, incredible sportsmanship, I would have joined but his gym was too far from my house and it was a bit pricey.
