is she deliberately singing more silent at "fights between black and white, there was nothing you could do"... this was probably not the best part for her to sing, but still great though

@vreni222 I think that she is singing a bit more quieter than Bruce. However, Tracy is singing at a bit more distance from the microphone than Bruce does. I think that there wasn't a stage sound technician (a person controlling the audio on stage) or somebody wasn't paying attention to level the two mics (set Tracy's mic louder to compensate).

Aside from this all... I think this was a great great song, sung by great great people. Thanks for sharing this.

This is from one of the six Vote For Change concerts performed between October 1 and 8, 2004. Traci opened, followed by REM, and then Bruce and the E-Steet Band, joined by John Fogerty for four songs including, "Fortunate Son."

Bruce joined REM for Man in the Moon, Michael Stipe joined Bruce for, "Because the Night," & the other REM guys for "Born to Run."

Over four hours, & one of the greatest rock show I've ever seen.

But a catastrophic election outcome, nonetheless, as history has shown.
