  • The purple haze must be in they're lungs now..

  • The drummer looks like Fernando Alonso!!!

  • drums ruined it

  • I didn't know Michael Phelps was such a good drummer.....

  • I think Hendrix would've loved this!

  • i aint high enough for dis sh-t

  • FOOL'S GOLD

  • i think this guy just SMOKED some purple haze...

  • blasphemy i thought iwas gonna get hendrix out of a sitar...i was fooled

  • This guy is the Metallica of raga. Wonder if he does any Sabath. e.T. x

  • I think this guy just smoked all the purple haze before the show.

  • Didn't know albert can play the sitar

  • i heard an attempt to play some PH for about a minute 1:40 . I wonder how Jimi would have approached the sitar?

  • jimmy page played the sitar... also the gurdy, just sayin :)

  • Has anyone else thought that the song they play is called Purple Haze and that they're not doing a Jimi Hendrix cover? Just me?

  • It's ridiculous how much show the sitar player does shaking around like hell while actually sounding totally uninspiring the whole time...

  • still waiting to hear purple haze?!?!?!

  • Since when did einstein start playing sitar?

  • well that was - kinda shit...can't be bothered looking at the other videos now - would have done if you hadn't used purple haze to try and sell this to us. 8 seconds in and gave up - sorry.

  • i hate drummers who drum too fucking loud. it ruins everything

  • cocaines a hell of a drug

  • @knash92293 LMAO, rick james

  • The sitar dude 's so pathetic!

  • All that came through the mix was drums.

  • overall, id say this is pretty damn cool

  • sure looks like he is on some "purple haze"

  • they smoke the purple haze

  • its interesting to edit and improvise, but i think he should have kept some part from the original Hendrix tune.. or else he should just not give the Hendrix's song's name for his tune..

  • hahahaha

  • DEUS ME LIVRE

  • I'm seriously waiting for Hendrix to resurrect himself and promptly beat this guy over the head with a stratocaster..... O.o

  • isn't it !

  • purple haze iz founds in himlayas, the place called muktinath jomsom nepal there we can find purple haze so welcome to nepal

  • @vairabindra Purple haze Is the kinda stuff we can BUY in our COFFESHOPS NEXT TO OUR HOMES!!

    '.''

  • This has so much potential, but alas it it not fully realized. If the sitar-player was in the same class as, say Ananda Shankar, this would be riveting. As it stands, however, this only gets a luke-warm review from me.

  • what. the. i don't even know. what's going on.

  • Are people getting up to leave?

  • Crappiest sitar play I have ever seen in my life. What a shame!

  • hippies are the SHIT!

  • WOW ! GREAT !

  • rock out old guy rock out!!!

  • This guys should play the vacuum cleaner because he fucking SUCKS.

  • NO THANKS

  • seriously bad sitar 'mime'

  • They'd have to pay ME to see this crap live!

  • fuckin hippies.

  • I would love to see him light his sitar on fire at the end!

  • @janken919 i dont think he should wait til the end.

  • I must have missed the Purple Haze part. But he's got the 70's glam rock poses down anyway. (Sitting down sort of limits your options there.)

  • OHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • assholes, these guys are awesome musicians!

  • sitar is 4000 yrs old - and still throws serious sounds! rock on!

  • he looks the gnome in my garden

  • When I become an old man, I hope I am as awesome at something I love doing as this guy...

  • WTF????????

  • WTF Purple Haze???????????????

  • 0:31 he is being posessed by jesus

  • Great now play the solo with your teeth Xd!

  • i mean the guy in the audience

  • check the guy out 2:30 looks like hes had enough purple haze for one night

  • groovy?

  • qui pocalia é esza mininu vai aprindê a toca viola caipira

  • dude i really want some lsd like no lie dude

  • @NileOfBlood6606 Noooooooo you dont lol

  • Good! Now play with the sitar upside down and over the head!!!!

  • wheres the purple haze?

  • It's a joke. The comment was made because the guy slightly looks like Ben. Get some bifocals and a sense of humor.

  • you guys are actually having an historical argument about ben franklin? seriously? you guys are freakier than marsicano.

  • I think he should be selling amway instead

  • This sucks ass not a cover of Purple Haze at all! BOOOOOOO!

  • I didnt hear purple haze..just an old dude rockin sitar.

  • The major sitarist of Brazil is Dhaivat Raj in my spice

  • Dhaivat Raj in my space the major sitarist in Brazil!

  • no.

    this isn't purple haze.

    give up.

    on life.

  • I'm a Hendrix fan and have heard a ton of Jimi's music played in every style imaginable. How you can equate Hendrix and this band is beyond me. I'm not saying it's good or bad, rather, I'm not sure if the Hendrix name and titles were used primarily for selling points. A couple of Hendrix licks here and there doesn't make for the true spirit of Jimi. I'm completely disappointed - but would have been more disappointed if I had paid to see this band. Can you say "false advertising"?!

  • can sum1 tell me how many strings a sitar have??

  • @quake3arenapranav 21,22 or 23-- they vary.

  • you guys rock!

  • hasan cihat örter i taklit ediyor... walla

  • Man this is great!!!! Larry Fine jamming on a Sitar!!! Doesn't get any better. Moe & Shemp on bass & drums???? Excellent. I want to hear him do Trower's 'Bridge of Sighs' or maybe some KC & the Sunshine Band.

  • i like this...but its not purple haze...its more of a bluesy type sitar jam

  • a little bit more "purple haze" plzz , it never reminds me the original song...

  • backup band sux

  • o baterista parece o Keith Moon

    Marsicano toca muito !!

  • Maybe it isnt purple haze, but sounds familiar like some other song ive heard somewhere..

Although this is how purple haze comes out if your band is on various types of hallucinogens while trying to cover it..

Trust me, Ive tried it with my band and we ended up actually just contemplating and drawing pictures of our kidneys, god, the devil, milk, sixth dimensional squid monsters and finding inner peace with various household objects instead of actually producing a legible cover song..

  • can u send me the drugs u were on ?

  • Sadly, I have not done them for a while.

Although I can offer this bit of information, For informational and educational purposes only.

To have a similar experience we where on a mixture of Harmal ( syrian rue ) with Ayahuasca ( Yage, Caapi ) though that grows usually in south america, or Harding Grass, Reed Canary Grass which grows worldwide in most places, ( Phalaris Aquatica ) as an analogue.

It has been known to cause death, and may be illegal. One hell of a trip..

    Take care

  • last time i tried hallucinogens was 42 years ago and would'nt try any back room stuff now although some pure acid would tempt me...that sounds like some concotion you took, and the death part makes me think that i'll pass on it ? thanks anyway.

  • @x2cbx

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the education.

  • Ok, just see my fist post...This is pretty not happening...But I give them credit for the fun they seem to be having...I still say the sitar guy looks like a mental patient on furlogh or more likely escaped! LOL!!! ;0)

  • it sounds nothing like purple haze

  • wait, where is the purple haze part?

  • I think he wants to play the vocal part.

    from 1:40

  • he wants.. i want my 5 minutes back. dont you?

  • that dude is trippin balls

  • I 'd rather eat my curried rice than listening to this crap.

  • respect

  • Chill- Sorry! NO respect! I have been playing sitar for YEARS and this guy SUCKS! If Ravi Shankar saw this, he would have been outraged.

  • fuck ravi shankar! im outraged!!!!

  • fuck you and your nirvana hippy

  • hippy?

  • fantastic music, i must download it

  • :-O (????)

  • alright music,

im not talking down the players but

i dont hear the purple haze song at all even the drums are nowhere near mitch's playing

  • i guess hes just playin the part

  • lets see you play a sitar then

  • i'm not sure what i just watched. i feel sory for the people who paid to see that.

  • right: purple, hazy, but no purple haze at all!

  • was i the only one who didn't catch how any of that was purple haze?

  • honestly, this isn't very good. A rock drum set overpowers the sound of the sitar too much.

They need a Tabla player instead. Not a halfassed 15 year old drummer.

  • This is his way of headbanging :))

  • this guy,who plays sitar,he needs an exorcist! hahahahahahahahahaha

  • apparently playing the sitar leads you to be posessed by spirits

  • yea but his spirit sniffs glue

  • what the f*** is up whit is head

  • What a pretentious poser. You guys are three v. bad jokes...

Duuuude, you were soooo into it! OMG! It was, like, y'know, can't even explain it! It was so, y'know, maaan, I mean, shiiiit!

  • you fools will never accept different things, this is a fusion of the great psychaedelic sounds of a sitar and one of the best creations from jimi.

i dont really like it but i accept it.

  • this is a poor representation of the sitar

  • After Ben Franklin discovered LSD he took up the sitar as a form of enlightenment.

  • Hahaha

  • @themustardrebellion LSD was first synthesized by Albert Hofmann in 1938

    source wikipedia

  • @OMGsanchez Ben Franklin lived until 1957 and played sitar for several years before his passing.

  • @ptchjamie he died December 1, 1788?

  • @OMGsanchez You're thinking of a different Ben Franklin. I'm talking about the founding father, the inventor of bifocals, the accomplished sitarist, the noted LSD researcher. You're going to have to look this up again.

  • @ptchjamie Benjamin Franklin (January 17, 1706 [O.S. January 6, 1705[1]] – April 17, 1790) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. A noted polymath, Franklin was a leading author and printer, satirist, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, inventor, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat....On wikipedia and in my History book..get your facts straight please =)

  • @DMajikninja You have to read lower in the article. "Although middle school history books state that Benjamin Franklin died in 1790, he actually survived until 1957, attributing his longevity to 'shit loads of LSD' and his devotion to the sitar, an Indian fretted stringed instrument."

Surprised you didn't know that. Get your facts straight, please.

  • @ptchjamie so you say he lived to be 251 through the miracles of LSD and a sitar? You're an idiot indeed. as a matter of fact you can travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and look at his grave yourself. Unlike you I actually do pay attention to statistical facts.

  • @DMajikninja LSD is a hell of a drug.

  • @DMajikninja umm i think he his screwing with you guys nobody believes that for real. I looked it up to humor him.... ya nothing. any refrences

  • @themustardrebellion he died December 1, 1788?

  • @themustardrebellion lol ur awsome

  • Drummer sucks, and you cant hear that it is purple haze

  • i dont here purple haze out of this too. its cool though.

  • The Purple Haze melody (approximately) emerges about 1:58, lasts about a minute, then disappears back into extemporisation!

  • hey! its father time on a sitar

  • bad drumming

  • purpale haze? mo like frickin' gay!

  • What is this? The friggin church talent show.

  • who is this

  • he looks like he had a litle to much acid

  • No more acid for you!

  • i dont here purple haze out of this

  • groovy!

  • k ive hassled u enough u are great at what u do and please dont send me back any bad karma..Love ya....people say hello to patanjali

  • where are the intrvals of the tritones

  • This is awesome! I love the sitar.. it has a magical sound!
