Higher tax rates past a certain extent, which they have passed, start decreasing tax revenues as businesses chose to scale back production and cut costs. Cutting costs means cutting employees which means higher unemployment. The price of the company's product increases from the cost of taxes (assuming consumer demand doesn't fall to shit), therefore making even the people who have gotten tax cuts and support not carry as much value in their money.
If you tax businesses at this point it will raise unemployment, deflation (which is a whole other can of worms), shrink the economy, and freeze credit even more than it is already.
When the money is given to people who PAY NO INCOME TAX AT ALL it is redistribution of wealth. So its fine to be unfair to some right? So who chooses who we get to be unfair to? I guess now its Obama. Hope he doesnt change his mind like he did on Public Campaign Financing.

I'll agree with you that there are parts of Obama's past that we should investigate more. I don't like the fact that he's connected with such radical people, but given career path, it doesn't surprise me. Working inner city Chicago and being an associate professor at a university will automatically connect you with people you don't necessarily agree with. It's kind of unavoidable. McCain had the luxury of being brought up in a military environment where everyone had the same ideals and goals.
Regardless how or where either McCain or Obama were brought up, nobody should be granted a "free pass" on his associations and friends when he's applying for the most powerful position in the world.
If Obama applied for a federal job and needed a security clearance, he could not get one based upon his lengthy association with some pretty radical and corrupt people.
Actually that's incorrect. I held a security clearance during my time in the military, and one of my roommates, who also held clearance, was an admitted crack dealer in Florida. It's not so difficult to obtain military clearance. And how come no one wants to argue about McCain? I've said I don't support Obama, but it seems all McCain supporters can do is bash him; they never actually defend McCain. Probably since they know he is corrupt, incompetent, and almost dead.
Admitted crack dealer, but did he ever do time? Felony convictions? Probably not.
In today's world, homeland security is a big deal. If the POTUS isn't above reproach where his associations and friends are concerned, that's pretty damn scary.
I wouldn't doubt that he did some time, however I can't say that for sure. And without going into too much detail, the level of security involved was not too far off what top-level officials would have been granted. In any case, I'd say that if he was cleared for the Senate, he should have no problem being cleared as POTUS. As an aside, I gotta say, it's refreshing to argue an issue against someone with at least half a brain on this forum; I've gotten tired of arguing against the inbreds.
Furthermore, there are many levels of security clearances. I would say that of the POTUS falls somewhere around the top. The higher up the security clearance, the harder it is to obtain. As it should be.

In all reality common sense will play into effect. 90% of Americans make less than $250,000 which everyone can agree isn't good. The primary question is if you tax the other 10% that do make over that amount, will that 10% cover the other 90% in terms of giving them a bigger tax break...the numbers don't add up..simple

Higher tax rates past a certain extent, which they have passed, start decreasing tax revenues as businesses chose to scale back production and cut costs. Cutting costs means cutting employees which means higher unemployment. The price of the company's product increases from the cost of taxes (assuming consumer demand doesn't fall to shit), therefore making even the people who have gotten tax cuts and support not carry as much value in their money.

Please explain to me how being a war veteran who never had a combat command, OR being a POW for any length of time is qualification enough to hold the office of the presidency. Nevermind the fact that his success in the navy was due entirely to the favors pulled by his father and grandfather. I'll agree with you that there are parts of Obama's past that we should investigate more. I don't like the fact that he's connected with such radical people, but given career path, it doesn't surprise me. Working inner city Chicago and being an associate professor at a university will automatically connect you with people you don't necessarily agree with. It's kind of unavoidable. McCain had the luxury of being brought up in a military environment where everyone had the same ideals and goals.

Regardless how or where either McCain or Obama were brought up, nobody should be granted a "free pass" on his associations and friends when he's applying for the most powerful position in the world.
If Obama applied for a federal job and needed a security clearance, he could not get one based upon his lengthy association with some pretty radical and corrupt people.

Actually that's incorrect. I held a security clearance during my time in the military, and one of my roommates, who also held clearance, was an admitted crack dealer in Florida. It's not so difficult to obtain military clearance. And how come no one wants to argue about McCain? I've said I don't support Obama, but it seems all McCain supporters can do is bash him; they never actually defend McCain. Probably since they know he is corrupt, incompetent, and almost dead.

I wouldn't doubt that he did some time, however I can't say that for sure. And without going into too much detail, the level of security involved was not too far off what top-level officials would have been granted. In any case, I'd say that if he was cleared for the Senate, he should have no problem being cleared as POTUS. As an aside, I gotta say, it's refreshing to argue an issue against someone with at least half a brain on this forum; I've gotten tired of arguing against the inbreds.

Furthermore, there are many levels of security clearances. I would say that of the POTUS falls somewhere around the top. The higher up the security clearance, the harder it is to obtain. As it should be.
