The only mustangs you put as "Real Muscle" were 05+. Just because the new era muscle cars came out with 100 hp more stock than the old, doesn't make them a ricer. Now if you take a stang and put a dumb fuck body kit and spoiler on it, yes. But not the 90's GT's and Cobras that were large engines for that time. Not largest, and ford sure did messed up that era, like my 97 weakest year the ever maid. But dont ever compare a mustang to a god damn Honda. There aint no vtec in that shit.

Appearantly, in order to be cool and not hated, I must spend 30 grand on a '70 Mustang and spend 70 bucks every 100 miles for gas instead of buying a nice Civic for 3 grand and get 40 mpg. Even if you don't do anything to your Civic it's still called a "rice burner". Seriously guy? They're cars shut up and live with the fact that, sure there are those people that wanna be cool with huge spoilers but then there's also people like me that just want to drive something that looks decent for cheap.

@hondamx95 I drive a 93 Geo Metro I agree with this. Honda has some kickass things behind it's name like Indy cars, and the S2000. IMO driving a Honda doesn't automatically make them a ricer , least that what I'm getting from everyone.

They're fast cars, that look like any other car (An impala SS396 was at the time the same as a LS1 impala now-a normal everyday car with a V8.) and that the young people of the time bought because they were cheap. They were in fact the first to use wings. The '71 mustang or charger had those "go fast" wings, that were just for looks. Now, those are classics and the cheap cars are japanese. And jap car fans will hate on, let's say, future chinese cars.

Half of those aren't rice. Especially the Red Escort GT. That spoiler is stock and the rest is tasteful. The Mustang 5 slides later is not rice. Once again, stock spoiler, tinted windows, and a hood scoop does not equal rice.

Tuners spend their money on turbochargers, intake manifolds, tyres with more grip, lightweight carbon body and carbon-ceramic brake discs. If a ricer tried to race a tuner, the ricer's 'aero parts' would catch on fire and the tuner would laugh as he took pole position.

@Hardwyre - not necessarily true... Anyone with money can spend thousands getting "sponsor" logos painted on the car, just means they have the money to do so. Doesn't mean the car is fast, or that it really is "sponsored". I see many people do strange things with cars that only show they have more money than sense. I can't tell you how many cars I've seen with custom paint jobs with "sponsor" logos featuring companies that didn't have a thing to do with the car or any of it's "modifications".

I've never seen a street Honda that truly would dust a V8 Camaro or Mustang. I embarrassed a Prelude SH with all the ricer BS, 7 times in 6 miles. I was driving a stock 2.2L/5-speed 92 Cavalier. Sad? I have seen plenty of nice stock 2.3/3.8 Mustangs and V6 Camaros alike ruined by the ricers' obligatory barrage of ridiculous-looking decals, body kits and such. Anything can be riced.
