You have to complete the level atleast once, before the bird is available to grap.

me i cant grab the bird i mean its not there until i kill myself

You need to do exactly the same thing as in the movie.You see him puting the shoe on the switchtrigger in the beginning causing the pad to come down. If you do that and run trough the level the bird l be there ;) enjoy
