  • i hope youtube is paying you well, because you deserve every dollar

  • will you marry me? I am pretty darn smart person, I always get A's in school - except in math. usually this kind of math makes me feel like the most stupid person in the world.

  • My teacher made this impossible, you made it simple. Thanks for posting.

  • @DroppedChild sure thing. glad i could help

  • WOW YOU TAUGHT ME MORE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES THAN MY COLLEGE PROFESSOR TAUGHT ME IN TWO HOURS!!!!

    YOU SAVED ME!!!

Thank you, so so so so much!!! :D

You saved me from a test this week. Wow, I'm so happy :')))) THANK YOU!!!

  • I'm in differential equations. In one the problems I ended up with 3 eq and 3 variables; totally forgot how to solve it and felt so stupid once I watched this. You explain everything very well. Are you a teacher? If not you ought to consider it, lol. Thanks

  • How do you solve a matrix x1 + x2 +5x3=-7 4x1 +5x2 -5x3=8

  • Good job

  • if you simplify one equation, does that mean you must simplify all of them?

  • @jaskirat77 you can change one equation at a time

  • And another question, what i you getting rid of Xfor example, and youre left with Y and Z.

What if one of the equations doesnt have the Y variable, do you put a zero?

  • Question, when you have "Big Coeffeciants" When you make them smaller as you did, will it ALWAYS work? And why does it work?

  • by all means sir you have just helped me pass my exams forget anyone who trolls and call u a nerd just remember their some people who is trying to be something in life and u have just helped many of us to get a step closer

  • @bigblackjay900 glad i could help ; ) a million trolls on youtube, no worries there : )

  • You are a legend

  • Thank you!!

  • @IRIDEAGYARADOS i dont have to check it

  • Im sure you already seen hundreds of comments saying this, but I'm going to add another one and say, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I literally sat for 30+mins trying to figure out how to do this. I didn't think about multiplying like you did on 3:40. Im gonna share this with my classmates, and get them to subscribe. Thanks again man.

  • @AwakeAgainAtLast you are very welcome : )

  • I don't understand how you're able to be so mellow and cool about helping hundreds and THOUSANDS of people all over the United States and other parts of the world!! You are so amazing and I know you might not see this but THANK YOU. I know you play it off like it's no big deal but I really hope you realize how much of a help you've been to me for the past 3 years AND to many other people. Thankz BRUH

  • @tysonoboyoboy happy to help : ) it does make me feel good to know that maybe i have been able to help a few people in this crazy, sometimes very stressful world : )

  • LEFTY!!! =/

  • nice way to teach it but the answer isnt write

    thanks anyway

  • isnt z = 1 not 3

  • OMG THANKS YOU SOO MUCH, YOU TEACH BETTER THEN MY TEACHER. OMG #TYBG

  • so why do we mulitiply by 4 though???

  • Thank you Patrick!

(Come on guys! -Don't feed the trolls)

  • NEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @happykill007 i always like it when someone who uploads video game clips calls others nerds.

  • @patrickJMT Correction he's a geeeeeeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't like the fact that you simplified the equations that's where i stopped my teacher said that this won't always work

  • @Willitbl0w terribly terribly sorry

  • is it me, or when it showed the before commercial, it sounded like jarem said" my name is jarem, and i am a woman," lol great video though, very thorough and informative. wayyy better than my math teacher:)

  • @xXglamADDICT16xX glad you like my vids ; )

  • I love you patrick!

  • Thanks! You really helped me (:

  • @lover3826 glad i could help out : )

  • hey patrick...how do you solve 2 equations with three variables..?

  • @Ameliadams there is not a unique answer in that case

  • @patrickJMT hey patrick..my bad i mistakenly copied 2 equations only, its 3 equation..:)...i was also wondering myself why i can't solved the question..hehe..anyway thanks for the help

  • Thank you so much! You probably just saved me from a grade that would make me cry on my test tomorrow!

P.S. I like how you write your sevens :)

  • I love you

  • my teacher teach us very easy examples but gives usa a very hard homeworks like WTF!

  • Thanks! :) This helped me out and was very easy to follow.

  • @Constant272 perfect!

  • Me before watching: "AHHH MATH TOO HARD, DON'T UNDERSTAND". Me after watching: "Oh, well that makes so much sense. Why do teachers insist on teaching things the hard way? This is so much better."

  • I really love your way of explaining things but you made one mistake 6 divided by 3 is 2

  • Man, I can almost smell that sharpy!

  • absolute life saver (: i might actually graduate ....

  • Thank you ! Thank you!, thank you

  • Thanks man. I lost a total of 6 points because I didn't understand simultaneous equations with 3 variables. Thanks.

  • @yurmumstits Yes, obviously the grammar classes are non-existent down there...

  • Solve this equation:

    9x-7i>3(3x-7u)

the answer is how i feel about you :D

  • WHAT A RELIEF!! You're great, I gotta admit. I LOVE YOU MAN :D

  • You're awesome. Thank you for making this so easy to understand. I took notes while I watched the video so that I can reefer back to it when I don't have my computer nearby. I am in intermediate algebra in college and my teacher's second language is English. He is confusing and hard to understand so I am glad I can turn to people like you when I get lost....which is very frequently! Again, thank you so much!

  • soooooo much work!!! wow, but worth the grade......:P

  • doing the same thing your doing but i keep getting fractions -_-

  • Thank you so much! I had one question. When using elimination, can you use subtraction instead of addition, and get the same answer?

  • this is confusing i didnt understand shit

  • thanks man it helped. ive always had trouble solving these problems

  • THANK YOU. My teacher is really bad at explaining these sorts of things.

  • thx soo much :D

  • @100xines he just used this in real life

  • thank you very much.. i was having problem with 1 problem for about more that hour. but this video solved that problem in just a minute.. thatnks bro.. u the best.

  • Thanks for the tremedous help because of this i finshed my homework and its now a lot easier than i have thought thanks again. may all good luck come your way because this is honest work you've protrayed to us all who were struggling that know know the secret into getting the right answer lol i sound kinda chessey sometime.

  • YOU RULE!

  • You should make a word problem video where setting up a linear system is necessary!

  • Thank you so much you just saved my ass, you're the best, God bless you!

  • I love you. You are the only person I learn from. You may help me get my license<3 Thanks dude!

  • thanks heaps man!

    but just 1 question

can I solve these questions 3 variables and 3 equations using the substitution method?

  • @TheJafari1 yep

  • Comment removed

  • EXCELLENT! Thanks.

  • do they have to be divided by the same number like in the beginning cod it be on by 1/2 and the other by 1/4?

  • Can you please replace my statistics prof?

  • BETTER THAN MY TEACHER

    :D

  • First I'd like to say thank you for posting these tutorials, they really helped me out. Second, what if you eliminate y and with the resulting 2 equations the answer is 0=0?

  • @nicktumi it means you will have infinitely many solutions

  • @nicktumi i know i have an example of those somewhere - maybe do a search of my videos: 'dependent system' or something like that

  • haha 4:38 :)

thanks man, great vid. helped a lot!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME

  • This helped a lot, thanks so much! :))

  • you are awesome thanks! you helped a bunch!

  • thank you :) it helped me a lot...thank you :D

  • does all of the equations have to be divided by the same number to simplify them ?like wat u did with the beginning u didivided it by 1/4.

  • @cailou153 no, you do not have to do this step at all. i am just trying to make the numbers smaller so that they are easier to work with is all.

  • @patrickJMT what he means is that if you decide to make them easier to work with do you have to divide them all by the same number?

  • @tmtothy you dont have to divide them with the same number each one of the 3 equations can be divide by each 3 or 2 or 1(like what he did in the video) different number

  • Your left handed! Woo! :) I am too and this was a good video. It helped me get the process down but unfortunately the numbers in the problems I get aren't so nice. Thanks!

  • Thanks so much for this! I don't understand it when my teacher teaches us in class, she's so confusing but this is really helpful! :)

  • Thx now I can pass and play football!!

  • these videos have been so very helpful to me...THANK YOU PATRICK!!!

  • Wow....this saved me!!!! Excellent!!

  • Thank you!

  • This is just me Patrick, But I'd divide everything out by 4. Make's it easier for the numbers to work with.

  • Math is too sic

  • Once you have 3x + z = 6, note that z = 6-3x, Also note from x-y+2z=5 and 2x+y-z=1, that if you add twice the second to the first, you eliminate the z term and leave 5x+y=7, so y = 7-5x. Then substitute into equation 3, 3x-2y-3z=-10 to get the x=1 solution. Then you already have the y and z values in terms of x ready to plug in.

  • You just never stop doing math eh?
