The one thing I love about this video is that it didn't use Hollywoodesque type storylines or effects to create a warm video. It truly is a fan created piece of art from the B&W pics of the different families and gathering a bunch of die hard Incubus fans. I just think this contest is about having fun and not about how elaborate someone can use final cut. It maybe amateurish but not all of us can be IT Monkeys.

Out of all the videos this one really had an emotional impact on me...the others seemed cheesy and although some were technically awesome, they lacked something that your video has....this video has heart, man. You took a concept that was so simple and made it phenomenal. This is stuff you can't digitize and make better cause it's REAL.  Your one of my top faves. Awesome job!

In a contest flooded with boy/girl scenarios this video takes a rather fresh perspective. I like how you used the still imagery to reinforce the powerful lyrics. The use of color & b/w adds to our emotional state, ultimately bringing us to a place of connection with the moving imagery by the end of the song. You can not deny how inspiring the video is at times, i.e. when the sunset is behind the band! I also love the way you incorporated Incubus fans. Very creative, my kudos to a job well done!

I like your piece. I don't think you have much experience editing but I can get what you were shooting for and it is soooo much better than the boy-girl thing....cause there is more to the world than romance and I think the song is about human nature, love, foregiveness, and ust like Brandon Boyd said Camaraderie. Your raw images add to the feel of thge piece and all the people you have are great. The concert is precious footage as well. Drop me a line and I can give you some feedback.

i love the realness of this video; you really caught some amazing shots of people being genuinely sad/happy/together. kudos! i especially love the footage of the sf show and the fans there, the scenes from the city, and the footage taking at the beach. damn that's some great stuff!! this video makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!! it's definitely my pick for the win from one fan to another!

I agree with Bay Boy. I especially love the shot of the A's fan hugging the cross Bay rival, the iants fan, the two women in front of the Big Heart and the multicolored skaters-white, black, brown. Every time I see this video I find more beauty in each shot.

I really enjoyed this entry. The footage and stills that were chosen all hold some significance to the subject matter of the song... they weren't just used as filler media. From the looks of it, this was created by an authentic Incubus fan. The best of luck to you!

many people decided to make a video about love that doens't work or a story about someone deeply in love but with problems with him or her. In this video the author gives something completely diferent in form my point of view correct. This vid is all about friendship and care for each other and we can see that in this great great video. Congratulations cause I bet the band is going to have the chills when they see it.

I like it that your vid is inclusive-the faces are bay area faces.

Technically, you dominated the floating plus signs, but your band shots have Incubus floating about the place in front of the stills.

I like it that most of the band shots you chose were the close ups. You only get in trouble in shots of the whole band.

yeah i was at the warfield on the 9th just to film fans and ended up buying a ticket from someone who needed to leave....what a great freakin concert! ;)
