  • Being a librarian, I can tell you that I'm not crying. I actually think that this is an ingenius way to recycle old books. We get donations all of the time that we cannot use and this would be a great way of repurposing them. Great job!

  • Really nice tutorial! Very creative! Thanks for uploading it n__n

  • nice

  • Great Idea! You could also use a plastic mesh instead of the shoe box cardboard. It would make it easier to sew the elastic bands on. That is if you have the plastic mesh around your house. I happen to have some because I use it to stabilize some other projects I have done in the past.

  • could also be great if you used a "journal book", the one with the litlle locks on it, and maybe us a book that is a little bit larger so you can cut a hole in all the pages, and place the kindle in the middle of them.

  • Love it.

  • I second what fserranohall said. I just priced these at Staples and they are 30 bucks.

I can do this for a buck, with Stuff from around the house and it's gonna be customized to fit my specs.

  • The best one I've seen thus far. Thanks.

  • Love it :)

  • this is a really goood idea

  • you should make and sell them! i'm not crafty at all and can't seem to find any good fake book cases around but i love this one. great job!

  • Wow, great idea! I've been considering getting an E-reader myself, since I hate carrying around books. This is so creative, thank you for sharing!!!!
