Tamil is even older than Sanscript which i read from a Singaporean Textbook. SSo i dont know about Hindi and i hate people from the North part of India except for those who are Tamil.
My regional language is different than hindi , but we speak hindi since its our national language and represent India. So nothing wrong in learning hindi in my point of view. Many language like tamils does originated before hindi or even sanskrit(on which most of our ancient text were written) but like all rivers join one mighty river and reach its destination, same with our languages. Like in the end we end up learning english anyways.

My regional language is different than hindi , but we speak hindi since its our national language and represent India. So nothing wrong in learning hindi in my point of view. Many language like tamils does originated before hindi or even sanskrit(on which most of our ancient text were written) but like all rivers join one mighty river and reach its destination, same with our languages. Like in the end we end up learning english anyways.

I think that you don't see north indian people speaking Hindi,Since you say that tamilians don't speack good hindi or english. i was considered to be a low cast person but still i speak good hindi,one punjabi speak good tamil. these are language so you can not divide.I don't agree that tamil is only language for people ok.Please read history where dravidan came. My tamil friend i can understand how good ur english is after reading ur reply in english. The problem is that u ppl think that ur language is superior for all but u may not aware that tamil is only spoken in ur tamilnadu no one understand this language in whole india. There r many states in India n every state has their own mother tongue but to communicate with different state people in india we have to speak our national language HINDI not english n ur ppl cant speak HIndi at all.

@abhiajjjjj we didn't refuse to speak Hindi. Karunanidhi stopped us from learning it. he banned all Hindi schools in Tamil Nadu, thats why us Tamil people can't speak it. but most of us wish we could speak it as it's India's national language.

Are you telling me that actresses Jayaprada & Hema Malini, politicians P. Chidambaram & Jayanthi Natarajan cannot speak Hindi? And I don't think a person's accent has anything to do with one's command of a language. Famous media personality C. Ramaswamy has a very strong tamilian accent when speaking English, yet he has authored books in English.

Tamil movie songs, some of them with proper lyrics are the most musically excellent songs.Malayalam film songs have tried to imbibe this Carnatic music into their movies but it originates from Tamil.I recommend all south indian dravidians to unite and begin to take back their land and culture cos India is rightfully ours. Hindi is NOT national language just one of the many official languages. Hindi was language of slaves during the Mughal rule too.It was created out of Sanskrit,Pharsi and Persian after Keralite Shankaracharya revived hinduism around 900AD after Buddhism almost annihilated it post Ashoka around 200BC. Just bcos majority of outsiders in North speak it doesnt qualify it as good language.While I dont know Tamil well,we scholars consider tamil to be the most musical of languages.Listen to Tamil songs
