that was not TECHNIALLY a slam - as it was part of a legitimate takedown (indeed both players had returned to 2 feet). it was a PHYSICAL slam which IS allowed during any kind of takedown.

a slam is when you pick someone up when you are IN THEIR GUARD or DURING A SUBMISSION ATTEMPT and then DROP THEM to the mat (usually dropping with them).

that said, fransino spiked his head on the mat during the takedown and was hurting after that takedown.
