Hey, you're just touching the tip of the iceberg, dude.
There's a Northern Philippine dish called "pinikpikan", or stewed Ifugao chicken. It requires a live chicken to be BEATEN TO DEATH WITH A STICK before chopping it up, removing entrails and dropping it into a vat full of boiling broth.
