  • they keep saying it is 2150 because otherwise you would think it was 1960

  • Should be rename as "The Invasion of the Giant salt shakers" :)

  • Grand Moff Tarkin IS doctor Who!

  • Got to admit, for 1966 those are some very impressive flying saucer effects.

  • The very first thing I remember of Doctor Who wasn't Doctor Who. Both films based on original episodes and serials, and this is where I fell in love with the world of Who. And Peter Cushing is awesome :). I prefer Doctor Who to Dr. Who, but it is this very film that made me love to watch Remembrance of the Daleks when it was occasionally on.

  • so thats were darleks come from, i thoughed they were orginal to red dwarf

  • i say! rrrobomen!

  • So a van is the Daleks weak point?

  • The world of 2150 AD looks exactly like 1960's UK. Things sure haven't advanced much.

  • i wish they tell us what year the film is set in...

  • @ImVeggieIAm I know! I was just sitting there like, "Wait, when is this? What are they even invading?"

  • I love how Bernard Cribbins is in this movie.

  • what year is it again?

  • Wonder how they'd handle the Cybermen or the Master? Or the Slitheen or Weeping Angels?

What treatment would Sarah Jane, Harry Sullivan, K9, Leela, Romana, Ace, Rose, Martha, Donna, Captain Jack, and Torchwood receive. (Damn that was a long one)

    Just fanciful thinking.

  • Is it just me or does the Dalek flying suacer look alot like a Thunderbird???

  • is there anyway i can see this in full?

  • This is how 2150 will look the BNP party get in power in 21st centuary and ban all technology and clothing that has had none pure whites involved with the design.

  • lol 1:01

  • One of the things I find disturbing about this movie is that they cut out the most touching Doctor Who ending of all time!

  • its funny cus that doesnt look remotely like 2150 ad, should be called 'daleks invasion earth 1966 ad!!!!!!' xD

  • trailer doesn't even say the word "Doctor".

  • So wait how was this even based on the series? I saw the first one and found it weird they even called it dr who

  • @spoonerismydog The Peter Cushing films are different from the series in a number of ways and are generally not considered part of the Doctor Who "canon."

  • at 1:33 - Bernard Cribbins - Wilf !!!!!!!!!!

  • Wilf.... the ORIGINAL Soldier!

  • This is 2150 AD! This is 2150 AD! This is 2150 AD! This is.. ok we get it now.

  • It's odd that the Daleks aren't mentioned once in the voice over.

  • @tangerinealarm Especially since they mention that it's 2150 A.D. about 2150 times.

  • 2150 AD!!!

  • Re. the van - it's a Morris Commercial 5cwt

  • which dr is he (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,)

  • It's Peter Cushings Doctor - not DW canon (though he's based on William Hartnells Doctor)

  • He isnt a doctor, the film was of him as a human who made a time machine.

  • WOW, good quality for a movie from the 60's.

  • is that gas at 0:38

  • Supposedly when shooting the film they used fire extinguishers.

They did this because they couldn't do the negative effect on film (as they did on TV at the time).

  • nah its just sumfing that kills people. lol they can spray you a bit and paralyse you. or kill you. just up to your imagination.

  • Itsa Fire Ingstingsher in the dalek. Shame they wanted to use Flame throwers.....MU HAHAHHAHA

  • This film is well worth seeing, and the dvd has loads of extras on it. Great fun!!

  • It's still looking pretty good after all these years.

They put some money into it, and it looks interesting and exciting at least...well the trailer does anyway.

  • i did not like the way this film deviated from the doctor who series peter cushing is a great actor but, he didnt like playing this role or so he said.

  • I bloody detest critics! If it wasn't for them we would have had a third Peter Cushing Dalek film, but this time it would have been cool, the Mechaniods (They would have been beefed up even more and would look awesome) and Daleks! Fuck critics, snobby arseholes and there opinion as if its the law and like it's actually everyone else can't say anything without critics!

  • im sorry but these just dont stand up to the drama of the original stories they are based

n dalek deordeate weapons. whats that about

  • Ah, do not criticise Invasion Earth 2150 AD or you will be exterminated!

  • i actually quiet like it

but its not as good as the official series

  • Ey, do not mess with the deo weapons :P Originally, yhey would've been flamethrowers! To be fair, it looks more realistic than the death rays from the classic series

  • Wasn't it supposed to be 2018 AD?

Also: London looks remarkably the same after 184 years! (from a 1966 point of view.)

If you look carefully you can see the same tattered poster from 1966 (behind the TARDIS) is still there on the wall in 2150!

Maybe London was enjoying yet another retro- revival before the Daleks came!?

  • Can anybody count the number of times they say 2150 AD. I glimpse into teh future?

  • I was sad enougth to count it, I heard the narrator say it 7 times.

  • Fantastic future my ass

  • An interesting insight on the vehicle of future...or is it a 200 year old VW wagon?

  • Hmmm what year is it again? He says 2150AD six times just in case the viewer can't read.

  • My god we can run Darleks over.....how are we losing that war?

  • How much cars did you saw in 2150AD? I just watched the movie and only noticed one. Now you try running over an army plus a flying saucer with one VW van.

    Nah, just kidding

  • Hmm. I don't suppose the movie received too many mentions at the Oscars...

  • take a look at the dalek in 1:07

    :D

you can see through a dalek

  • What year was this supposed to be set in?

  • Sarah Jane should have just drove into those two daleks in The Stolen Earth episode

  • Unfortunately, Ruffle made the new daleks like, indestructible... At least the old daleks could be defeated by the van of death or by throwing them out of a window.

  • The boy with thw Knak.

  • lol Everytime I watch this film I can always the strings on the Dalek ships!

  • can't they say "Daleks"?

  • The funny thing is Bernard Cribbins is facing Daleks once again. He is Donna Noble's grandfather in the new series.

  • robomen..sound like the working class under thatcher......

  • ROBOMEN ? - Living dead men ? More like S&M Gimps!

  • Hahaha!

  • Hmm... I think it would have been a pretty good trailer if it weren't for how he kept saying the same thing over and over again. :(

  • Are you Kidding me? this is just so...

  • ...crap?

  • brialant?

  • ...fantastic?

  • i remember this film ages ago! :D
