  • FUCK OH MY GOD THAT WAS THE BEST

    THE FUCKING BEST!

  • Just add me to his millions of fans. I feel so lucky to have found him. Saw him briefly in Treme and was attracted to his sound. Found out who he was and bought his Mo Hippa album, which I love; especially "When You Get Back". He and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen are incredible!

  • :)

  • Love his pedaling style!

  • Incredible player. You can just feel the energy in every phrase, so much respect for this guy! Amazing.

  • @xMHM2010 lol somebody's slow

  • lol ur really good :D

  • Boogie Woogie is not my favorite music, but this is amazing! But i have question: Do you think about what you will play in a few seconds much or do you only trust in your fingers? I don't think very much in my improvisation, but this is so perfect in every detail. Great!

  • Saw him at Harvest Jazz & Blues in Fredericton, New Brunswick (where the Cajuns really come from) a few years ago. Have been a fan ever since.

  • How the BRAINFART does he get his left hand working like that? Oh & the right hand? It looks like I taught Jon everything he knew already 8s

  • Without musical or art history, there would be no basis for modern music or art. Everything is built upon what has been done. It's called progress. And progress, the way Jon does it, that's called magic.

  • Am I now to understand that Gershwin had no musical influences from which he...borrowed? Go back to Music History 101!

  • Simply the best. Have seen Jon play live and hope to see him again very soon. Maybe one day I'll even make it to Tipitina's and see him on his own patch.

  • uffff

  • Simply brilliant!

  • He's a pretty decent piano player

  • okay ida may i can't stop listening to him... makes me happy and sad at the same time! thanks sister for the video!

  • This is the best!! It made an instant #1 fan out of me!!

  • dude, ryanwrollins clever to notice two gershwin motives in jon's solo, but how clever of the guy to incorporate those in there man? -in my opinion; very

  • In response to ryanrollins, I hardly think Gershwin, or any other piano magician would accuse Jon Cleary of ripping him off... to do those kinds of things with ten fingers, there are NO RIP-OFFS in Piano Brilliance!!

  • can't help but notice that in the middle it sounds like Rhapsody in Blue ripped off

  • What an idiotic thing to say! As mentioned among these comments, Jon Cleary IS BRILLIANT, and a tribute to all forms of piano magic and piano magicians, including Gershwin, whom I'm certain would welcome him among those of his status!!!

  • You are the man! Ain't it great? Hahahaha I love it! I'm a keyboard player at heart.

  • He is a New Orleans treasure. The guy is brilliant!
