When I watched this drama I was basically scared shitless of ryo! It's not really a scary drama, but his character was so creepy I just couldn't help being scared. let's just say that I watched this drama in broad day light! but never the less, a really good drama that drags us through the screen!
What was really brilliant in this drama was the fact that there was no completly good or completly bad characters, they were just struggling with their own desires, selfishness and wounds, and all the sacrifices they were forced to make.
This opening is really beautiful and illustrates perfectly the tone of the whole drama, with its forever lonely characters, passing by each others without really encountering, prisonners of their own traumas and wounds. Sousuke was perhaps the most complicated and interesting character, along with Ruka, they were actually quite similar. The actors were all amazingly convincing, with again a soft spot for the glacial and expressionless Ryo and Ueno Juri who embodied Ruka completly.
The best drama I ever seen. I saw it long time ago but I still remember how it was so sad and slendid. A real lesson on life; it's what I like about Japanese dramas. But this one had particulary marked me. The acting and the scenario are amazing. I really would like to watch it again.
What's more, "Prisoner of love" is maybe one of the best songs of Utada Hikaru !
this is a really good opening, i cant stop watching this... i got a little disappointed during the later episodes because they stopped showing the full opening...
A great Drama with an awesome Masami Nagasawa... For me all the Drama is based on lies... Everyone lies to everybody... That's sometimes boring, sometimes annoying but the moments of revelation are always moving :) (Bastard Sosuke by the way (the one who watched the drama will understand me)).
