a little fuzzier video and would have thought Gene was King Diamond. in fact, if KD did a song like this it probably would be so awesome- just one of the short songs that lead into a killer metal song

I remember watching this Solid Gold episode as a kid....most people aren't even aware of this "Heroes" song or "I" which was also great....love the blue violet auras around them :)

Is Gene crying at the end of this video?Did someone show him the sales figures or tell him he would have to pay for lunch?This is a good album, but it might not be a KISS album. KISS never received the respect they deserved.The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be a joke until they induct KISS.I think KISS made "The Elder" because they were looking for some critical acclaim.They could make an album that rivals Beethoven's 5th & would never get respect.I wonder what kind of music they listen to.

I love Kiss, but the Elder is a turd.

If they had just ignored the critics and gotten legitimately heavier, scarier and freakier over the years they'd be in the RRHoF. (The RRHoF is a complete sham, anyway.)

Imagine if instead of Phantom of the Park, they did a movie where Gene was a fire breathing vampire serial killer and the music was really dark and evil and the movie got banned after its initial telecast.

Instead we have Gene trying to be Dan Fogelburg on Solid Gold. Poop.

"A World without Heroes" is a very emotional song with passionated lyrics, even though that's not what Kiss is famous for. Music from "The Elder" may have been a false step for the group but it has still made footprints in "Kisstory".
