Thanks for sharing this with me Waylon aced every song he sang,Put so much compassion into them all. This man was the real deal...Loved Waylon & Jessie.
He will always be # 1 to me R.I.P. Waylon ...Bet you & Hank are singing up a storm in Heaven....
the 11 people who disliked this are Rascal flatts fans, but what they dont know is they made the like bar look like a cigarette Waylon smoked after he plowed their groupy mom backstage and made her cry when he kicked her out for saying "i love you" hahahaha
A true master at the Steel Guitar; Ralph Mooney. Watch his hands, bar lifts and effortless tone bending in the last steel guitar turn on this; now you see why this man is in the Steel Guitar Hall of fame. Rest in Peace old friend, I know that God has called for an all star Performance at the throne, you picking behind Wynn, Buck, Bonnie Patsy, Waylon and may more of your old friends. Maybe even ole Joe Maphis will set in for a few. Until we meet again old friend.
If only we could do that...love you Waylon. Keep making beautiful music up there and pls sing to my baby girl Carmen Raye, she loved your music as much as her momma does. Im sure your enjoying each other up there.
If only we could do that...love you Waylon. Keep making beautiful music up there and pls sing to my baby girl Carmen Raye, she loved your music as much as her momma did.
one hell of a man. theres NO one out there today that can fill his shoes. This is REAL country. best memory's of my grandfather is waylon and johnnys music in the background.
I saw his show once in Greenville, SC.....he was great........I wish I could see him again and I know he is gone....his music will be around a long time
Mooney sure could steel the show huh? who was the harmony singing gak there ? I remember seeing her in some of the ealier videos, never found her name tho,
The world misses Waylon. Back in 92 I was in Scottdale at the Mountain Shadows. I was at the breakfast buffett and was reaching for some hot cakes and there was this big fella reaching for the food at the same time. I looked over and it was Waylon. I said "hey Hoss, leave some for the rest of us". He cracked up and said you're lucky it ain't Whiskey in the old days. He was alone and I asked him to join us for breakfast, He did!
Legend sums it up! His music took us thru some the most memorable times of our lifes. His voice and the steel resonate in our minds today! He done what we can all only hope for-he left a footprint will never be erased! Thanx fer the post!
Enjoyed Waylon at Red Rocks and big Mac auditorium in Colo. In early 2001 he was at the Fox Theatre in Stockton Ca. Barely half filled with fans. My Sweetie and i both got to shake hands with a legend and hero. He was in a wheelchair and had to sit on the stage. He said i can still kick ass, you just might have to bring it up here though.. Wow..I wish I could have met the legend..Im only 19..but I really wish I could have..This man has been in my life since I was a baby. Dad used to play his music all the time.
Hi Sturla: Waylon was a Hero sure, though he came across as someone that sung our stories. I respected him because he played his guitar the way that you can recognize the sound as being his. Like Willie's sound is his. Both were like us. At red rocks ampitheater Waylons long awaited concert was rained out for three days in a row and he was there every day. When the weather cleared they had partied so hard lots of words were forgotten and stumbled across and we all still had the best time ever.
Waylon was a true legend, one we lost much too soon. I used to listen to him as a Disc Jockey on KLLL in Lubbock when I was in college there years ago. Got to see him and the Highway Men many years later. He left us with a great legacy of music as did ole Hank!
Did'ent really appreciate Waylon when he was young and wild but now that i'm mature i've discovered what a great voice he truly has,...... love it,.. Jessie also !!

I truely love this song i could listen to it forever, i have it sung by Hank Williams Sr. They both sang the song good, but i choose Waylon over Hank Williams Sr.
keep it simple,, a simple song,, performed with waylons charisma, voice, and musicality,, its not necessary to put effects on to "sell" something as its hip these days,,, something thats good as it comes, doesnt need to be tuned up with unimportant nick nack,, the emocion and musical messages counts,, waylon sure was a master at this, one of my favoruite musicans ever
Waylon needed to express beauty in his music. Actually, everyone has a need to express beauty, in their own way. Fortunately, for the public, Waylon nailed his portrait of beauty in a very public place....in our hearts!

Important warnings from our Lord about the Antichrist, the Two Witnesses, Revelation 12, the false rapture/alien invasion
Preachers/televangelists will say the invasion is the return of Jesus, many will believe as war and chaos break out
The Obama prophecies, sobering!

keep it simple,, a simple song,, performed with waylons charisma, voice, and musicality,, its not necessary to put effects on to "sell" something as its hip these days,,, something thats good as it comes, doesnt need to be tuned up with unimportant nick nack,, the emocion and musical messages counts,, waylon sure was a master at this, one of my favoruite musicans ever

Waylon needed to express beauty in his music. Actually, everyone has a need to express beauty, in their own way. Fortunately, for the public, Waylon nailed his portrait of beauty in a very public place....in our hearts!

This has to be one of my favorite Waylon songs. Like Juliette604 I could listen to him 24/7. He was the best and still is.

Waylon & Hank, a match made in Heaven. Love like I've got for Waylon will never die. Is that Waylon's daughter Jennifer singing with him ?
