Topographic maps of the United States can be ordered directly from the US Geological Survey. Google USGS and you'll get to their website. Click on Maps, Imagery, and Publications. The maps I used here are 1:24,000 scale/7.5 minute maps. They now cost $8 each. If you order one or one-hundred they'll charge you $5 shipping. You can also download pdfs of the topo maps for free. You can do that from the same website. Send them an email or comment back to me if you have any problems/questions.
