they are from the USA not scandinavia. But yes the band is Epic in the truest scence of the word, and at 1:33 was so amazing on mushrooms, literaly sent quakes down my body evertime they hit that effect. But this entire album you just have to listen to all the way through. same with ashes against the grain and the previous album Pale Folklore. I suggest old Katatonia and Funeral, plus some Delorian. Micro solo at 5:33 owns, this on shrooms or woodrose seeds is the best. thanks for posting

Have October Falls improved at all since releasing Marras? I picked up that album and didn't think much of it. Wasn't awful or anything, but a fairly amateurish attempt at folk compared to what a lot of other groups have done over the past few years.

Agalloch is so much better than all the usual folk metal bands.

They all love themselves too much for being oh so folkish while ruining the pagan spirit in their music being a perfect prejudice (like "oh, the olde pagans just fought, drank met all the time and every second word they said was Oden!")

Agalloch is more subtle, they stand for their own kind of music which they have originated.

Agalloch=Best dark/folk metal combo
