ugh I wish it was made from HTC so it would have HTC sence UI. Also Multi touch, more screens, better camera (even though it is pretty good), multiple touch keyboards (not many phones have this), bigger screen. That would be an iPhone killer. And as for the evo, there making it a higher monthly price. So that isnt even in the compeition.

@HorseProductions1 Yeah. You have to hold it in your hand, flip it, and wait for a few seconds & then a landscape keyboard will pop up on the screen :D Well, you have to be on the messaging screen but, whatever... You get it. Lol.

The battery dies very fast if you text a lot or get a lot of notifications. And one thing i hate about it is all of the default notification ringers are very quiet

I had the hero and I had to being it back cause there is just way to much lag for the little 530mhz processer. The htc sense had somthing to do with that. I got the moment and it's 1000 times faster. Not as nice to look at but definitly faster with the 800mhz CPU in it. Keyboard rocks to.

PLZ HELP: Ok i purchased the moment and I love it but I have te problem of my phone cutting off randomly and I have to take the battery out for it to cut back on....wats wrong..ive takin the moment back once and got a new 1 but this 1 does the same thing..is it the apps or the phone?

seems to me like the spps but i may be wrong. i dont completely understand what you mean by "cutting off" do u mean shut down? like black screen? if so mine does that like 1 time ever 15 days or so but not very often its prolly from over heating or a internal malfunction

@MomentTipsAndTricks Somewhere I read that you should turn your phone off every few days or so that way it doesn't damage the phone, with it being on for so long. I've saved myself doing that... either that or I'm lucky :P

I have a Rumor right now (I just ordered the Moment today) but the rumor has the same keyboard (basically) and I don't even notice it. It just took me a couple of weeks to get fast at it. I mean, you couldn't use your thumb to push the space bar like on a regular keyboard anyways! haha

Great review... just have a few questions. I'm looking to get a new phone and I'm looking at the Moment and the Hero since they are set around the same price. I'm trying to find the most convenient phone for me. Does the Moment have word prediction?if it does can you add words to it? can you set different languages to the keyboard when you text?

The reason why I'm asking is because I text in Spanish as much as i do in English, so i would be more convenient for me.

I find it surprising you hate having only 3 home screens, my biggest annoyance with the sense UI is that it has 7 which just feels like too many. On my middle screen I have all my most used apps, on the left one I have a couple different folders (a games folder, a media one, ect), and on the right one i have a couple widgets that I need and thats it, thats fine for me.

how is the build quality? does the phone feel wiggly or move when you're touching and swiping the screen when the keyboard put away? that was pretty annoying with the pre, you'd feel the top layer move.

my opinion...it feels like a cheap toy from China (no offense intended). the keypad is different if you're use to HTC keypads. The Op system of course is great but I wouldn't pay over the $100 new customer price.

Question: I like my Blackberry b/c I can pick it up from a resting state, start typing a name, and it filters to the contact I want... I have 400 contacts. I played with the Hero but there are 3 button presses before you can search the contact list AND the portrait keyboard is too small. My question is: On the Moment if u pick it up, slide the keyboard open, and start typing what happens? Will it start searhing through contact list? Can u video the fastest way to find a contact via keyboard?

it's possible but the chances are very slim. you'd have to accidentally press the hard "end" button and then the 'touch' menu button while it is in your pocket.

It's fucking CAPACITIVE touch you dumbass. A capacitive touch screen uses the conducive nature of your skin to sense electrostatic changes on the surface of the screen. It has nothing to do with heat. Why do some of you douchebags post reviews when you don't even know what the fuck you are talking about?

the moment does not "push" pop 3 emails or facebook updates. it pulls, in other words you set how often it checks for updates, emails etc. true "push" means as soon as the email is received on the pop3 server you would receive it on your mobile.

It offers a form of push for corporate email accounts through moxier but i doubt many of us purchased the moment so we can check work emails.
