i go to forks all the time. i dont know what the big deal is. it wasnt even filmed in forks!!! or la push !! or not even in the right state!!!! la push wanted too much money for it to be filmed there. i know im only 12 but i know things! i get to go to la push allllll the time too. at least twice a year. i am actually going there in 4 days.

I live in Forks.I am 18 yrs nd I hav lived here for 14 yrs. They did not use any of the buildings from Forks. They only used the Lapush Beach as a back drop nd thats it. They used a copy of our High School sign nd put it on a totally different school. As well as our Hospital. Same with our town signs as your enter Forks. Copies, BUT NOT FORKS! The Twilight movie was a totally fake of my town nd I honestly belav it was very idiotic to not have filmed this movie in the town the book was based on.

I find that not only rude because I am from Forks, but rude because first of all get your facts straight... no it's not a big town, but thers over 3000 people who live here, not 900. Second, we didn't ask or seek the attention of the book, nor was Forks asked for permission for its name and locations that were used in the books. Are we grateful that the books came out and have really helped out our little town in a time of great need, yes, but please don't be rude about something you don't know

I mean there's a lot of history where I live, theirs this road by me where less that 20 years ago it was just a school house. Then wally world went up and now the whole place is filled with lots of people. On the other hand, NCIS takes place in virginia. LOL

@sarasrs2468 Yeah cause it was the author who sought Forks out. Not the towns people. If anyone who'd care to research how this movie or the books were written and made, you'd respect it a little bit more. They never made the movie IN Forks, maybe a few scenes but they came to Portland and went right up and down the coast from Portland OR to WA. So don't automatically assume the town of Forks wanted this to happen. It was a blessing. Their town is a tourist attraction now. Deal with it!
