why do they let you punch and wield a sword, i think every one would use the sword

Punching gives health when hitting wooden dolls or metal posts. Punching is also way faster and more useful for killing melee enemies like Rippers and Hornets. The sword is only 1-hit on the weakest Ninjas.

Well just try to get the original game from somewhere - to run it on xp you maybe use one of the openGL ports of the engine.

Wanton Destruction was planed as an stand alone add on - but never was finished - a couple of years later the maps already made were released on the internet for free.

Install your game from the CD.

Then using DosBox you can run the game succesfully. I believe that even Wanton Destruction.

Why are you using jfshadowwarrior? It is very outdated, last version is from 9 October 2005. Instead try using swp from ProAsm. Its latest version is 4.2.4 and it is frequently updated. Google word proasm and select first link, then on that web page click on logo of Shadow Warrior on left bar.

Yeah, it may be quite tricky to make this game run. Google for "build on xp". This will lead you to a great tutorial that will show you how to play Duke Nukem, Blood and Shadow Warrior on XP using VDMSound (although by now it actually is possible to play these games almost perfectly using DOXbox).

SW is indeed a bit harder than Duke3D. The graphics are better although I think they look too much plastic/candy-like, too much contrast.

SW would be on #3 in my top-4 of the big-four-buildengine-games.

you need JonoF or ProAsm versions of this game. They are ports and they run under OpenGL. I recommend ProAsm version, because it is newer. You need only main SW.GRP file from original game (registered or shareware).

You can get this game for 10$ on 3D realms site. Then if you look at Wikipedia's article on Shadow Warrior there's a link to ProAsm's Window's port for this if you have a newer computer. Cheap and not hard to set up either.

Yes this game had all weapons, nuces,nerv gas, and such. actually this vid doesnt show the nuces blast radious-which was incredible ridicolues in a open space area which made it unusuble outside-cause you end up dead 2.
