I think only a small percentage of the population would be able to learn something like this and even if they could, an even smaller percentage would bother to put that much time into it to become this good.
Absolutely brilliant - quite astonishing to see such real high quality expert skill. Master Paulie Zink, you are an American treasure. Please please please ask one of your proteges to teach in New York City. Best regards Sifu Zink.
I used to read his ads in the Black -Belt magazines in the mid to late 80s.But thais was my first time seeing him live.If only I would've learned back then.
Now, there's a man who looks like a monkey when he moves! I mean, with a blurred lens, you could mistake that for an actual monkey, which is quite an acheivement. Well done!
The moment I saw the movement I knew it had to be Master Paulie Zink. You really embody the spirit of your style sir, great to watch you do your thing. I'd love to see a real animal stylist like Mr Zink(I know, you're not a spring chicken any more lol, wasn't referring to you in particular) to try their hand at mma and demonstrate their style in a real situation.
I think this style would be extremely effective in MMA. Whoever adopts this style in MMA would be champion. A fighter called Reggie Warren trains using this style.
its really nice to see you her it the YouTube, I m from Jordan and I remember at the 80s me and some of my friends managed to get your book about monkey kung fu style, and that we used to utilize some exercises from it which was and still great for the health and the martial arts, I would like to say: thanks from the heart.
Thanks for putting your clips on youtube. I think I remember reading you won grand champion at the international that year. Were the rules than, you had to win 3 divisions and did that include fighting?
You might remember me from a short time in the 80's which I took your yoga class with my monkey room mate Rick. I met your teacher, Master Cho. Regards to you.
Dear Jeff, the rules at the Internationals were to compete in the weapons Grand championships you had to win the championship in your weapons division. Then the winners from all weapons divisions would compete for the grand championships. The same applied to the Empty Hands grand championships. It was not required to compete in contact fighting divisions.
It was a long time ago and I wasn't a formal student, just your yoga class. I was a student of Jason Tsou. But I remember you well. Your classes were very helpful to me. I still have your book which you personalized for me. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
