  • No it was crude, about a 23-25 gravity I would say. We have some shallow oil that is very thick and black. This well turned out to be about 125ft deep and the State paid me to plug it for them as it was in a front yard of a home.

  • Only one problem. Oil is not that black when it come out the ground. This looks like used motor oil.

  • @hitkaineman You don't know what your talking about. Michigan basin has oil that is as low as 19-20 gravity and is black. I had 3 oil wells in next county over that had black oil as well...produced a couple thousand barrels of it at a depth of 350"

  • @tyoung317 I agree with hitkanineman.... Heavy oil is black as night... we produce thousands of barrels of it everyday

  • rod it up !!~

  • Did you drill it yourself? Is the oil warm?

  • how deep?

  • @Mommy2Robert It was less than 200 ft deep.

  • 4.5 bbl/day WITHOUT pumping! but wait, I thought ALGORE said this isn't possible.

  • hey not a bad way to produce 4.5 bbl per day (one truck load a month) just hope it keeps flowing at that rate.
