Basically the mixed feeling of both pride and pain when one has to leave ones beloved to defend them from invaders. @WeAreFromYelets patton stoped at the elbe because the western allies said that russia can have berlin. plus we ran away in the ardennes because nazi germany saw the soviet advance was more critcal.
p.s i think the russians were great soldiers too but lacked technological superiority to the germans. but the germans on average were better soldiers.

@DjPetrov there are many reasons why germany lost. 1. they fought many fronts 2. hitler(being the idiot he is) took too much control over the military when he should have let rommel make the discisions. 3. they lost the battle of britain which destroyed a lot of their airpower which is the key in ww2. there are a lot more reasons why they lost but if germany and the soviet union had a fair fight against eachother, germany would have easily won.

@Ancientoftheages well, if the russians were so good and were a bigger threat to the western allies than germany then why did we ally with them. i think that churchill and roosevelt knew that hitler and his war machine was a way greater threat than the soviets. and if we saw the soviets as a bigger threat, then we would have allied with germany

plus... its funny that all the armies of the allies were ATLEAST 2 times the size of the nazi war machine. and it took them 5-6 years to defeat them. yeah the germans did not put up a very good fight :\... german casualties: 5.3 million russian casualities: 10 million
