Personally i think these last few years Mexico has been wasting their time playing the US over and over again, they need to start playing against Better teams from South America.
I almost shit directly into my pants when Caliguiri scored that goal that put them thru to the finals. I was 23 at the time and me and my dad cried. It was a dream come true.
at this time.. we do have the best USA squad. players. .. but i think we need to go euro..on coaching. Bob HAS done very well.. but i think he should have moved on..to europe..to gain more experience of the game. anyway.. neat vid.
@ProFootballer2B yea i know. the only way that would happen is if BOB BRADLEY has the usa team losing matches left and right. losing to teams like Paraguay..? you know.
but if they continueto get huge wins..argentina and spain are coming up..then none of us should crack on bob bradley ..for now.
ootball is the numberone game in the world as soccer it is known in america i am a pakistani i love soccer so much that i play and watch it all the time and america should know that soccer in america is now coming of age
I live in Europe and we are finally respected as real contender for a quarter, or even semi soon enough. Btw, the Spain game in the Confederations cup was a devestating blow (I was living there at the time) and I'd say our greatest victory in the last few decades.
good doc, i must say the US are competing with teams that have football woven into the fabric of there history, the fa was set up in 1863 throughout that time football spread as the no 1 sport into europe and the world, the US media and advertisers choose to setup all american sports which would dominate the world which hasnt worked, in short the US has everything it needs to oneday win the WC but it first needs a working league relegation, promotion and clubs instead of franchises
Altough i think that U.S. "Soccer" is laughable in comparrison to the rest of the World, i must say that it's one of the countries that still plays "Real Soccer" and none of that (come 1 feet close to me and i fall on the floor winning Thousands of Euros" crap. So i guess Congrats U.S.A but you still have a long way to go, but your getting there.
@VHNFV1 ...US soccer is not quite "laughable" in comparison to the rest of the world, unless your world is only the top 5 in the FIFA ranking tables...30 years ago USA would get beat by little countries like cuba, now it's quite different with most of the team playing pro in euro...USA has progressed, unlike countries like portugual that haven't done anything significant before Peter the Great....
@agriculturaltrading First of all it's Portugal not portugual, if you're going to diss on a country at least know it's name and spell it properly. Second there was no Peter "the Great" it was Peter the I, II or III. The actual Peter "the Great" was Russian and i dont see how were connected.. Thirdly i do agree that the U.S.A has progressed imensly but they still can't compete with the big leagues. Also just to clear this up i am talking about the style of play in a country not it's country Team.
Soccer in the U.S will not grow in popularity until the MLS learns how to exploit and glamorize drama around its players. That's what the NBA, NFL, MLS do. MLS needs to get with it. Professional sports in america are nothing less than soap operas for men.
nicely done.. so what do u think about USA so far in the world cup? USA did a great job against England and was robbed vs slovenia.. should be 4 points right now.
@pizzalover6969 I don't think it was meant to be objective. As for objective reporting, I find an American claiming to understand that concept laughable.
The confederations cup ranks just above a friendly. If anything the US making it to the final 8 in 2002, and BARELY losing to 2nd place Germany was an amazing achievement.
@DA6AME Really? How to you explain the COMPLETE dominance in nearly every way the US has had over Mexico over the last ten years? Fifa ranking, WC Qualification finish, 2002 World Cup, Gold Cup that our team actually PARTICIPATES in? Please... do explain.
@pupcakevadergwen There are a few reasons for that. For one, I was trying to maintain as serious a tone as possible. Second, I wanted the drama to come from the images on the screen. And three, it was my first time doing voiceover work.
I do appreciate the honest feedback though, so thank you. Consider your suggestion duly noted.
@BrendanVanHalen - the drama on the screen wasn't obvious enough. If you had paused during pieces of commentary from the matches, I think it would have been a lot more effective.
I hate you though dude ;) , I had the same idea but in my own dramatic music style. I was actually going to put up the video yesterday, but I've had finals lately so I won't be able to finish it until tomorrow.
@rocket4221 My point is that if people want to see them in their original context complete with dramatic commentary, that's not a difficult task. There were a lot of things I could have done, but I had to sacrifice certain things in order to get it under 10 minutes and have everything make sense. Also, the first priority of any true documentary is to inform, not entertain. That's not to say I was trying to make it boring, just informative.
USA considers Mexico their biggest rival?
Mexico sees them as another mild challenge.
Personally i think these last few years Mexico has been wasting their time playing the US over and over again, they need to start playing against Better teams from South America.

@dirtybunny987 We've dominated Mexico 10-4-3 in the last 10 years. How are we a "Mild Challenge"?
Headcheezonium 1 week ago
@Headcheezonium
USA generally wins friendlies against Mexico but the matches that count, Mexico wins.
Mexico always runs into the field confident against the US team while the US team always runs into the field nervous and praying that they win.

if i can make a constructive suggestion, some more drama in your voice would help. it sounds like you were trying not to wake up someone in the room.
