thats 4 minutes + of constant knocking bass on those lvl 4 10''s and they never got hot to the touch. Thats why i luv DC audio so much you can feel safe playing the woofers at extreme levels & know your not gonna end up cooking eggs with them.

@MrTomx123 This was my first DC audio build, She has been long gone for over a year now. The vehicle sold, Woofers aswell & amp. The enclosure i still have though lol.

I thought I should mention too that you'll actually have MORE cone area with the 2 - 18's.

Two 18" = 508.94

Four 10" = 314.16

Actually, any info on the electrical side of this build would be great too. Ground location, if you had to use an external regulator for the alt...etc.

@Deschain420 ground location for front battery was a bolt within 2-3 inches that went right into the frame, Also grounded it to the engine block. All 0 gauge ofcoarse.

Iraggi 390 amp alternator was running the show, with 2 kinetik 2000's & a 1800 upfront. It smacked hard.

No external regulator, Amp was grounded to logical location in the trunk, same with rear batterys but used buss barr.

@OKanaganDCaudio I ask because I am still getting too much voltage drop, and being essentially the same car, it really helps to narrow things down before spending more money to fix it.

I have the big 3 in 0 as well, but my battery ground was run to the - jumper post, so that is what I replaced. I'll look into the closer bolt to frame you mentioned. Where exactly was your trunk ground? I ran mine to the frame...but the car is uni-body, so I have been contemplating a dedicated run of ground.

@Deschain420 I made a buss-bar in the back to ground my batterys to, unfortunatly i dont have any pictures of it. But since the car is uni-body i doubt it helped.

I had my amp grounded to the back seat bolts.

@Deschain420 Yeah this thing beat peoples houses down for sure. It was rediculous, The enclosure/tunning combined with the DC audio lvl 4's made for perfect space. It all worked out so well. Especially with the electrical behind it.

@Deschain420 Im hoping for atleast 148+ with 2 18''s, less cone area, deeper frequency but i think it can be done. Plus the cabin space of this vehicle is smaller.

@OKanaganDCaudio If you get the equipment you want, with the right box, you'll be doing 148+ easy...at lower frequencies too.

@cbucks2869 I picture alot of vehicle flex, The GMC jimmy isnt as thick or as heavy as a vehicle as the LHS was. This things gonna come apart at the seems.

It is what made me decide to stay with DC audio for life, There woofers are just insane. They where only lvl 4 10''s to, I cant imagine what thease 2 lvl 5 18''s are going to do to my poor GMC
