Grossartig gespielt!
The rhythm is very reminiscent of Tico Tico. At one point, the modulation reminds pretty much on the Czardas by Monti. All together it is a brilliant made composition, which contains many elements that we already know from somewhere. A kind of summed idea of spirit and tradition of Gypsy music with all the facets that inspire us again and again. Great played!
When I play lead acoustic guitar, I need to mute the bass strings with the heel of my right hand so they don't ring out while I play the treble things. I am to understand that, in gypsy style, you play with the right hand bent at the wrist ~45 degrees. Here is my question - how do the gypsies mute?
Jimmy is simply beyond words to describe. Frank is no doubt a gifted musician, I am familiar with much of his work, he's legendary. Jimmy though is just in a class of his own. There are guitarists out there who can do what Frank does, No guitarist out there can do what Jimmy has done or can do.
I would have to be ignorant or crazy not to agree with you :) Bireli, also a child prodigy and an amazing phenomenom. As for Stochelo, what can be said, he's simply incredible. But even he has admitted to Jimmy being in a class of his own, in more ways than one. Either way, they're all in a class of their own. Tobbemann, you know what you're on about.
Just for the record, this song is called "Gypsy Mania". Don't know if it's an original or what. Never heard it played by anyone else.

@matthewcross They mute by release the left hand with a good timing with the right hand. They make ghost notes by the same way.

It's called Gypsymania. They played it at the Django Reinhardt NY Festival at Birdland in 2001. There's a recording. It's good!
