  • who operates the the federal q (wind up siren) the driver or the passenger seat guy??

  • @MilitarysBestPilot Both front occupants can operate the Q via two pads located on the left sides of the foot wells. Next to those pads are the air horn pads as well. Most officers usually let the driver operate the Q at their own discretion.

  • was there a actual fire or was it a prank call?

  • this looks so FUN!!!!!!

  • great video!

  • Outstanding driving!!!!! great video!!!! The only comment I have is that siren box needs to be closer to the operator - I don't like that reaching during driving.

  • keep up the good work and stay safe!!

  • Sounds like a B&M "Super Chief" instead of a Federal Q.

  • So what ended up happening

  • Sometimes i wonder; Do people know how to pull over these days? Well, at least some do.

  • Wow, that looks really fun to drive!

  • just to clariy: is that a male or female driver? I cant tell.

  • @usmcwarrior94 That's a dude with a bad haircut.

  • @DieselFrdChikn its a wannabe mullet, got a problem with that?

  • @DieselFrdChikn oh no

  • @DieselFrdChikn cant go wrong with the smeals

  • HD O.O !

  • sounds like an old Q

  • That Q is winding down really quick it sounds like. We have one on a 2008 Spartan Pumper/Tanker and it holds out much longer then that.

  • @robspears019 We have a 1991 KME with a Q2B that winds down really really slow.

  • Can i use on facebook?

  • @fireman3130 Hey man! You sure can. Glad you like it enough to put it on FB. Wished there was something more exciting to see when we got on scene though.

  • nice to see people are just as considerate to emergency vehicles out there as they are in MN

  • I think it would be sweet to drive the truck :D

  • JuzG85 I would love to hear a q siren in Australia aswell mate

  • Awesome driving guys, especially considering the weather conditions, I too would love to hear a q siren on our fire trucks here in Australia

  • @JuzG85 Thanks! You guys have features on your rigs that we would like to have as well. We always get nasty thunderstorms during the middle of summer here in Georgia. Nowadays it's almost a matter of when and not if you'd become involved in a traffic accident while enroute to a call. Standing on that federal Q sure gets everyone's attention though.

  • @dieselfrdchikn thank you for the quality video mate, I do get a bit jealous sometimes when I see the quality of the trucks in the states they are truly beautiful rigs :)

  • @aussiefire123A Though a bit long, I'm real glad you like the video my friend. It's always a pleasure to see generous responses from our counterparts in Australia. Thanks for watching!

  • What station are yall from just randomly i recognize that area and my dad works at 12 in Cobb

  • Love the video man! Great job driving, I only wish we had a q siren on our trucks in Australia!

  • @aussiefire123A Thanks for watching my friend. You're way too kind. It would truly be a real pleasure to visit Australia some day to learn new things from our professional counterparts there.

  • This driver did his homework, fast but safe, great response!

  • what the driver is showing there is a wonderful response, save fast and splendid ! wowthe driver knows what he is doing, god bless that engine and the crew on every run ! greez Chris, FDNY

  • @TheEMS41 Much thanks my friend. God bless you and the FDNY too!

  • @DieselFrdChikn thx y very much sir ! :-) cool engine cool crew :-) stay save guys :-)

  • Nice video. is this near Atlanta?

  • @rocketman5989 Thanks & Yes,north of the ATL in Kennesaw,GA

  • @DieselFrdChikn i am located in North East GA

  • The drivers seat looks like a mini office space =D

  • wow that q sounds like it belongs on a 64 caddy ambulance

  • What city was this in?

  • @EvOluTiOn91 Kennesaw, GA

  • Im jealous the engine im assigned to just got its Q taken off to put on another engine :(

  • This is amazing how many people I'm watching you drive past that are NOT moving for the sirens and lights. This is my biggest pet peeve. We nearly lost an engine and two FF's the other day because as we were making a turn with the lights and sirens on some guy thought he could squeeze in and sped up to get past us, nearly totaled the engine and would've probably killed himself in the process. Definitely a "near mis" thank God.

  • Regarding the hair issue, the local fire chief has a beard bigger than Santa Clause's, and hasn't shaved it at least 20 years. Seems like it would interfere with SCBA.

  • sounds like the Q needs fixed

  • You people have problem with his hair? ... What the hell? Honestly, whats your problem? ... As long he does his job great (And he does according to this video) its okay. I dont know, what should public dislike on longer hair?

  • Thanks for your response, I wasn't having a go at you as a driver, from what I have seen you are obviously a good considerate driver, a good deal better driver than some I have seen in the many cab ride videos posted. In terms of personal appearence I think how an individual looks (proper uniform/PPE) goes a long way towards giving the right impression to the public, the people we serve. I apologise if I offended you, my comment was more aimed at your FD's policy. 'I am cool'.

  • @dnegaf I'll certainly agree with you as well. A professional appearance in our field goes a very long way. I was definitely "pushing it" back then. I apologize to you sir. Telling you to lighten up was uncalled for.

I am grateful for your comments and I do thank you for watching these videos.

  • Great video, The driver/operator demonstrated excellent responsibility while responding to this incident. I try to review most of the response videos and this one is the Best One that I've seen.

  • @Patches459 You're way way too kind... To my department's credit, we're all trained to operate our emergency apparatus as such. I really appreciate your comments.

  • The guy driving is he the only driver with that fire department as he always seems to be the driver, also if he was part of my crew he would have been told to get a haircut long before it reached the state it is in now, not a very good advert for a member of a professional organisation.

  • @dnegaf We have over 620 firefighter/EMTs in our organization who are all qualified professional relief drivers. My haircut fell within the guidelines of my department for which ours is obviously far more relaxed than yours...

FINALLY, LETS MAKE THIS CLEAR. These videos are NOT an advertisement for anything. These are nothing more than just fire engine cab ride videos. You really ought to learn to lighten up...

  • Very Nice Video, I would say 5 Stars but we don't have that anymore on this wonderful place we call youtube.

  • @Firefighter5130 Hey, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Nice responsible driving and intersection approaches!

  • @BOHEMIONASF Hey! Thanks so much for the compliment. It's not my intention to show off any of my driving techniques. I just wanted to take everyone on a fire engine ride!

  • You used an 8 megapixel Canon? I got a Nikon S3000 for my birthday! 12 megapixel camera! Doesn't shoot HD video tho, sadly. :( but it takes good quality videos and photos!

  • @deathmasta455 Yeah, my S80's an old old camera. Yours is no slouch at 640 x 480 / 30fps. Nikon's are real excellent shooters. Just be sure to capture your videos at it's highest settings. Have fun Man!

  • that fed q is rele quick to go down what model is it

  • @21wfireman I don't know what model it is but it sounds awful because it's an electronic Q and not a real Federal Q like it oughtta be...

  • what department are your from? great driving by the way get more vids up man!!

  • Great video!! If you dont mind me askkiing do you use a mount to hold the camera in place? If so what kind and what type of camera do you use?

  • @dangerjp Thanks, glad you like it! I use an old 2004 Canon 8 megapixel S80 recording video at full HD (1024x768). Nah, got nothing exotic by any means.. . I just duct tape the camera to our thermal imager's charging base that happens to be conveniently located in the right spot. Good luck with your own setup! Tell me how it goes...

  • @DieselFrdChikn Thanks for the info, and deffinatly, ill send the video to your inbox if i do it.

  • god save this guys and the rig on every run ! great response perfect driving the rig. :) Greez Chris, FDNY, Ladder 4 :)

  • @TheEMS41 Thanks for watching. And thanks for the props brother! You FDNY guys are what we all want to grow up to be. Godspeed to you my friend.. Petey B, Cobb Co Engine 2-5.

  • Very good driving. Very safe response good job

  • @OBAMAWOLF I really appreciate your comment. Thanks for watching.

  • what kind of Q is that? it winds down really fast

  • lol did yall ever find flame? lol

  • I wonder when you small towners are going to realize that electronic sirens have NO place on fire apparatus? Have some respect for the fire dept. Respect the song.

  • Man that is some good driving.... getting all those green lights too... nicely done!!! unless u got those white lights ... changing the lights for ya... but it was a great job..

  • Great FD u got there! Stay safe! See ya at the big one!

  • @USAGamingMW2 Thanks brother, You take care and stay safe as well!

  • :16 "Maybe the rain will put it out." HAHA that was great!

  • @CCFRPumperProbie93 lol i caught that too

  • how do u know ur way around????

  • That aint no damn structure fire, looks like an asian and a road way covered in rain!

  • @cooljayfox Fooled you didn't I? Give me your address & I'll send you your money back...

  • @DieselFrdChikn Nah man, lol Love the cab though better thany my cities trucks cabs... yallas is larger

  • @cooljayfox Nah, likewise, I was just messing with you too. .No offense taken to anything. Just happened to leave out .. the> 8^ ]

  • hey man great video looks like a fun job. also was that a fake call because at the end it looked like you guys didn't see a fire

  • @hotfuzzbass Nah, turned out that we didn't have a fire at that location. What had happened was someone in the neighborhood had called 911 reporting a fire because of all the smoke in the area. Aparently, all that smoke was a result of another housefire in an adjacent neighborhood.

  • @DieselFrdChikn oh ok

  • Great vid and just wanted to say stay safe out there as well. Chicago FD lost 2 of their own this morning battling a fire. So be safe and careful. Keep up the good work

  • @jrmywbrwr Hey thanks very much. I really appreciate your kind comments and I'll certainly keep those Chicago firefighters in mind as well. Take care my friend.

  • @DieselFrdChikn your mechanical got a neat sound to it man

  • @CHINKZRTHECOOLEST Glad you like it dude.. & Yes, we ARE the coolest...

  • @DieselFrdChikn HELL YEA BRO! SHOUT OUT TO THE FIRE SERVICE MAN. i'm a emt-1st responder right now and a junior fire fighter

  • @CHINKZRTHECOOLEST All my best to you my brother for a successful career!

  • @DieselFrdChikn thanks man you be safe and take care out there

  • The driver/engineer looked cool, calm and collective the entire time. Great driving.

  • @chechnya You're too kind. Thanks very much for watching.

  • @chechnya way too fast for the road conditions

  • @Wonkawillie77 Alright Mr. Armchair Firefighter.

  • @chechnya I am an armchair firefighter now...but I have the experience to back up my comments.

  • Lol, just finished watching this vid... AGAIN! Anotehr great video! :)))))

  • @deathmasta455 You sat through those 8 minutes AGAIN?! Thanks Man! Glad you like it!

  • Great video, i am going to be a JR member of the wayne nj fire department in about a year, and trust me i dont even think we run that long

  • @dangerjp Thanks and good luck with your venture in firefighting.

  • @DieselFrdChikn thank you

  • best response video ive ever seen

  • @kissfanbilly Thanks, shot by duct- taping th camera to the thermal imager's charging base.

  • good work boys!

  • @tspragg1 Thanks for watching!

  • mabey the rain will put it out 0:15

  • Wow ! that was quite the run, I'm a member of Halifax Regional Fire in Nova Scotia, big city fire departments dont get runs quite this long. Nice driving.

  • @EightOneZero Thanks! It's always a pleasure to receive comments from other fire guys out there. The storms had gotten so bad that day that every nearby unit were away on calls. We were heading to territories 17-25 km out from our own. Normal response times for our units average around 4 minutes. You're very fortunate to work in such a beautiful region. I trust you don't get the same kind of nasty electrical storms as we do in July.

  • @DieselFrdChikn Not exactly storms like that, we will often get Hurricane force winds. The biggest kind of calls we've had in the last few years are major hurricane calls and major forest fire calls... lots of everything in between =).

  • Cobb county u guys rock i used to work for Grady ems, and i lived in kennasaw for a wile

  • @beezel08 You're too kind my friend. Thanks for the props.

  • @DieselFrdChikn Oh nice I work for Griffin Fire Rescue in Splading County, and I also volunteer for Pike County Fire Dept

  • @FireExplorerPC Heck man, we're practically neighbors!

  • @DieselFrdChikn Yea pretty close just got a couple counties in the way lol

  • This truck doesnt look that old. it must get a lot of use.

  • @Dthorn912 This engine was a hand-me-down from a busier station. It's worn, though it's not in terribly bad condition. The air horn air supply could be better but with judicious use, it's effective enough. We've passed up an opportunity for a newer 2005 Pierce from another station simply because our 2002 Pierce is one of the last engines in our department that's still equipt with a conventional booster hose reel.

  • What dept is this, and what state?

  • I want this guy as my driver -- when does he become a free agent? Lou

  • @FilmLou Whoa.. .Me as your driver?! Man, you've got a great sense of humour! Thanks for sharing all your marvelous videos Lou.

  • Great Job with the Whelen siren at the intersections!

  • @Stealthguy06 Thank you sir!

  • The Q is your friend.. Surprised you didn't use it more..

  • @jsnasselin She's an old engine. Runs great but you can hear that even the airhorn is barely functional.

  • Great job responding, very smart driving

  • @wcofpr Thanks man!
