Actors play gay, serial killer, detectives, house wife on pills roles that aren't true to who they really are at all. If he wasn't sick they'd have to of put make up and special effects to get that bony jaw look

he does it all with body language and facial expression

you can see the character he is playing think about his history and future, and this only trough his eyes. he is far away from being michael douglas.

so yes it is acting

I meant it like he can truly feel what this "character" he's made up is going through. It's wonderful acting coming from a real place. That's it. Simple as it sounds, acting is sheer imagination. I love the way actors can portray themselves. I think that all actors take from personal experiences.

@kgoodwriter92 - well yes, you're definitely right to a degree, but I'm just commenting on what you said a while ago "this isn't acting" - you don't have to be just portraying someone that is completely different or opposite of you to be "acting".. you're acting if you're playing a role, regardless if it's similar to you or not. It's actually sometimes harder to act like someone who is very much like yourself. This piece is extremely simple, yet it gives amazing emotion. Very basic, yet complex.
